  4. Lima did some N Gauge back in the 70's Rare as hens teeth, I spoke with John Byrne who was involved with Lima and their Irish episode. He told me about 50 of each model were produced to test the market here They never sent a second order to Lima............
  5. Anyone have any spare stacks of barrels? Looking for anything up to 10 units 2 or 3 barrels high Cheers

  7. I thought we had our own Ironside, BurntheBox ? Welcome on board skipper!
  8. From Chris Dyers website We also have a vast stock of our own production of NIR COACHES in a number of authentic liveries. Included are Mk2a/b in four liveries starting with the 1970 maroon and blue and followed by Mk2d/e in later liveries. Each coach is hand-finished by a top professional model painter and high-quality transfers are used throughout. Please enquire with your requirements. ** STOP PRESS.... We are currently working on the production of a good representation of the NIR 3000 Class 3-car DMU - watch this space! http://chrisdyerfairs.co.uk/

  12. Guy being interviewed was Wayne Thomas from the Wexford MRC, terrific modeler The vid is from their trip to Warley some years ago I think this layout has been scrapped
  13. And on that note Graham.... Messing around to see whats the best way to store them Coaches on their roofs looks a good option, wheels dont snag and they can be handled by the bogies rather than by their bodies
  14. The Curragh brings back some evocative memories for me In the mid 70's I was there for a month as part of my Cartographical projects We had to survey and map the old military barracks and some of the outlying buildings including "Donnollys Hollow" One of my jobs was to run a Tacky Traverse in from the nearby Hill of Allen We had a battered Mk 2 Land Rover and a tank full of Diesel and all the plains of the Curragh as our workplace We chased many of the a fore mentioned sheep for miles in our Mk 2 Always remember one of the lads in the crew telling us about his grandfathers words of advice before he went to the Curragh "I was in The Curragh during "The Emergency" One small bit of advice Best way to (make love) {not the words he used, they had more in common with cycling} to a sheep, son Get her on her back Then you can kiss hes as well" Took the 3 of us about a half hour to get the Mk 2 out of the ditch.....................

  17. Will we see this in the restrooms? http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt342/devendaughter/5-30-09%20Adventure/CIMG2303.jpg
  18. 4 months later we saw MM0220 River Blackwater hit the shelves The usual 504 units produced Still a few knocking around for sale
  19. Have to agree Fran, after the Irish ones the Crocs would be my favourite This one that Steve has picked up comes with a MFX chip You get an image of the inside of the cab, fuel oil & sand levels As you drive the loco around the track the fuel level decreases and if you dont ad fuel she stops. How cool is that! Not for the faint hearted though, one of these could pay next years household tax
  20. I have come to the conclusion that it is more novelty than actual AS Fran said its a 2D effect rather than 3D However having a couple of different locos sitting in a siding with various noises is not a bad thing either Starting up is my favourite series of sounds, loads going on You pays your money..........
  21. Will definitely be emptying the grandkids saving box's for a couple of these beauts John Bail ó Dhia ar an obair
