7 MM? Do you do any 4MM?
-
2 sets are enough I think man Look at the first page on the Lima /MM thread its all there
-
MMIE The Murphy 201 was no a re run The original 201's were manufactured by Lima in Italy, whereas the MM ones were done by his manufacturer in China Regarding a re run there are some costs involved The moulds etc which are owned by PM have to be taken out of storage The factory floor has to be cleared of its previous job Then the models are made painted and detailed, boxed and readied for shipping Then the factory floor is readied for the next job So irrespective of the amount of models being produced all these different jobs incur the same cost which adds dramatically to a small production Hornbys Limited Editions are usually 1000 - 2000 models whereas the regular production runs are in the 10,000 range

-
So only buying one JHB?
-
No George, something to do with paint not taking, there are 3 different forms of plastic on the body and I think there was a reaction with one of them (EBay looking good for you atm!!!)
-
I mentioned this before people! The cost of a re run would be prohibitive because of the numbers involved There are 18 various models with a run of 504 of each, over 9000 all told this is just about the minimum run that could be made in order for MM to make a few bob China at the moment wants bigger runs, so to do a run of 2000, your model would be costing in the €250 - €300 bracket or more depending on whether they would even entertain making the model or not Not going to happen!

No definite dates yet, but the latest I have heard is that the Grey locos will be the first to arrive, some problem arose and now it looks like the IE's are held up and the greys will be here first, they will be shipped this month.

So looking at the prices achieved from the top OO Brake van, $68, 10 bids 5 different bidders HO Mk 2 in a good box, $28, 16 bids, 3 different bidders OO Mk 1 $50, 26 bids, 5 different bidders OO Mk 1 $46.50, 27 bids with 7 different bidders HO Mk 2, box damage $17.50 4 bids 3 different bidders OO 7 Plank $57, 14 bids, 5 different bidders Would indicate there is still some interest out there for older Lima models, a lot of the bidders were bidding on all the items. And also that 00 rather than H0 would appear to be more popular Anyone here bid or win any of the items? I think I know who won the 2 wagons
