  1. Nice, great thing about the yank stuff is the interchangable parts between a lot of the manufacturers. Like being able to drop a Kato motor into an Athearn loco seamlessly. Sounds like a cool conversion!
  2. Ah! That explains a lot! haha
  3. Agreed. It'll look AWFUL. But at least you should be able to turn them off via DCC.
  4. No not yet. Read elsewhere it won't be here till after Christmas though at the earliest.
  5. Aint a 158 either, resprayed Lima (or Hornby takeover) 156.
  6. The definition of insanity....
  7. SWD - South West Digital The original Bachmann soundchip was quite awful. However, on their most recent releases they redid it and now it sounds superb. Have had good service with Howes. Gone off DCC sound personally so havent bought any but Legomanbiffo sound files have received excellent reviews. You can buy them off DC Kits http://www.dckits-devideos.co.uk/shop/dcc_digital_loco_sounds/
  8. Now there's a sight to behold. Delighted I got to see it at the South Dublin show a few years back. Stunning.
  9. You'd be looking at a kit from the Jim Poots stable JB.
  10. I think I'll find it hard to resist these. Always loved cityswift and it was the best livery the AVs ever carried. What fleet no and route will they be liveried for?
  11. Interesting question, what does everyone else think? Not a big fan of factory weathered myself, but is it what the masses want?
  12. The correct answer is Tatra folks!
  13. Love them in the GNRI livery, just oozes class.
  14. East Coast Mark III trailers worth a bob or 20 this weather too. Rapido's model of the prototype HST will be fabulous too I'm sure.
  15. Gotta love the HSTs. Been on a few and it's always a pleasure. I do miss the Valenta scream mind you.
  16. Absolutely stunning job. Had a chat with the builder yesterday, his skills were tested to the limits but what brilliant results. Kit manufacturer, kit builder and owner can all be proud of this excellent model!
  17. Cheers man, that PR team they have must be good
  18. Please keep on topic, it should be about the laminate coach and nowt else. Thank you. It's quite a simple request really.
  19. Okay gents, thread reopened. Please take heed of the warnings both Patrick and I issued yesterday/last night. Last thing we want to do is hand out infractions and bans and lock threads. Please keep on topic, it should be about the laminate coach and nowt else. Thank you.
  20. Hornby have in the last couple of years tooled up a 4 window Mark III rest. too. Still wrong for the Irish one, but not as wrong! Kevin, you'll soon have correct MIR sides to do one in Supertrain!
  21. Can we calm down please gents. The Irish Freight Models is available to those who wish to buy it and are happy with the product. Best of luck to them with it. There are alternative routes out there for those who wish to pursue them in the present and possibly in the future too. I dont think much more can be discussed on the subject really!
  22. No update really. It's still green in the ropey pic that's been put up.
