  2. Love the NER brake van Nelson, you have some great skills!
  3. Very nice Nelson, and welcome to the site!
  4. Sad news, deepest sympathies Eamon to you and your family.
  5. Top work George, great to see your workbench! Any chance to see that Bandon Tank you were working on?
  6. Some awe inspiring stuff there lads. We can learn a lot from the aircraft modellers from kit building skills to tips on neat decal application and top notch paint jobs. That and the models themselves are lovely! Bren showed me B-17 kit in person. The castings look fantastic. Going to be a savage build when it's finished!
  7. I haven't a notion. Mine will be staying BR! Ripe for bashing into something Irish I guess considering all the 0-6-0 tender locos we had?
  8. Ah jaysus http://www.joe.ie/news/current-affairs/pic-irish-woman-hangs-her-washing-from-a-train-window/
  9. Hi lads, Went into Marks on Hawkins street for a DCC chip and a chinwag and came out with the new Bachmann 4F. Beautiful loco with great detail and I'm sure she'll be a sweet runner. I couldn't leave it there for the price as it was only €90 which was around €7 cheaper than Hattons when you factor in postage (and there's no week long wait!) Well done Marks, great value and service as per usual! Some pics of the beast...
  10. Yep, it's a pity modern locos aren't named after racehorses like these were. Nags tend to have wonderful names!
  11. Sounds good to me man, old buses in attendance at Donnybrook though apparently. all three could be tempting but the stool in Neds might just win out for me!
  12. Judging by the times I should be able to get Connolly and Donnybrook garage in on the one day. Must bring the camera, fantastic opportunity to get some otherwise unseen views!
  13. That's one I missed out on Rich sadly. I did stand outside it. Lovely old cinema house it has to be said.
  14. Top job as always George. First thing that came into my head was this tune....
  15. Very nice George! You need to get to a scrapyard in Portarlington to buy a 1:1 kit.... http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/2382-Models/page2
  16. Jeez Northman they were great prices. Well done on getting them! A lot of Gresley's locos were named after famous race horses and Galtee More is no exception. Then there is the Galtymore mountain in Tip. I liked the name as there was a famous Irish dancehall in Cricklewood in North London called the Galtee More. Famous amongst the Irish in London for many generations until it closed a few years ago. I did have a bit of a mad night or two in it when I lived there.
  17. Have the Duke and their P2 on order. Two of my all time favourite steam locos. Can't wait for them A pic of my Galtee More with smoke defelctors and GN coal rail tender. An absolute bargain of only €99.00 from Seamus Grahams. Great value!
  18. Nice choice Nortman, have the same Apple Green 4472 as you do as well as 'Galtee More' in BR Green. Excellent runners. Is the Black one a National Railway Museum limited edition?
  19. That's two, surely?
  20. Ah the youknowwho attempts its swim upstream it seems. I wonder how many IDs he's registered on RMWeb... This is still the place to be guys, we're not going anywhere for a long time yet
  21. There was german writing on one ejector seat and English on another. I'd say they're a motley crew of 2nd hand tat!
  22. It's come on leaps and bounds. Well done to listening to feedback and all the hard work that's gone into it!
  23. I was quite proud of that pic!
  24. Decent runner and puller!
