  1. I'll put myself down for a kit.
  2. Differences were are the classification lights on the ends of the locomotive, above the number board. The SD9's classification lights are on a small pod, canted outward and the step wells are slightly different.
  3. I picked mine up in Marks on Hawkins St, may still have a few available. Very nice but could've done with some proof reading!
  4. Very little externally. Something like the ladder and number boards, maybe a grill but it's minimal. I will consult my books when I get home to give you a more definitive answer. P.S working on something new which will get your thumbs up when it's finished, awaiting parts at the mo but keep an eye out!
  5. Shoot them Seamus. Sitting in the barbors awaiting a chopping and Daft Punk are playing loud. Can't wait for their new album next month!
  6. Very nice. Former Southern Pacific still earning its corn. I bought an old Athearn SD9 for the SSM sulzer but I won't be buying one of them now. She's now in the upgrade pile and this might be an idea. Mines a former SP Caddy too!
  7. Have to agree with this. I've turned some of mine down but still gets on my nerves after a while. I have a couple of yank sound locos on order and they'll be my last sound fitted locos to complete a few lash ups I've been building up.
  8. Love 111 and 078, top notch! The older liveries like orange and NIR blue really are the best.
  9. Correct, the Irish ones are for 45 foot containers. The British KQA are for 40 footers.
  10. Rails were looking for a ton for one in their obsolete section and someone bought it. The orange roof version is also selling just shy of £100 notes https://railsofsheffield.com/mm5609-irish-railways-ie-mk2-generator-coach-with-orange-roof-mm5609-ob-JJJA16761.aspx
  11. Agree with above. Then when that's done you could go back in time?
  12. Great photos Eamonn thanks for sticking them up! Like the grey 071s, great job!
  13. There's a good picture of one in that livery as part of a great feature about the BR Thumpers in this month's Traction mag.
  14. Sadly I'll be stuffing my face with Easter eggs but I'm sure a pic will come up somewhere!
  15. Now that sounds a good idea. Even the bachmann chassis is a good starting point.
  16. I understand that Rich but I can't see myself paying 300 quid for a loco if the production is shifted back to the UK. I think one of the spokespeople for one of the British outline companies (possibly Dave Jones) has gone on record to say that would be the cost of a loco if made in the UK
  17. They've also brought or are bringing humbrol paint back to the UK too. I'm not sure if it would make economic sense to bring their more expensive items like train production back to the UK any time soon. Mind you if it cuts out some of the mistakes that have been made recently ( GWR suburban coaches with B4 bogies) I'm sure it would be welcome by some.
  18. you just can't beat SP tunnel motors!!!
  19. Pic from Marks this evening showing the colour shade differences between as delivered and Supertrain

Really? That's going to take some getting used to! Will they get normal numbers as well or will it be UICs only?
