I am in the job 22 years and remember well me scaldy arse from walking the town post.The bags around yer neck were very heavy and some time was needed to get yer feet and behind used to this.As regards uniform,all the photos in work from years ago are in black and white so no idea on colour.

I just got the new Book on the North Kerry line today in the post. The Book can be got from- Liam O Mahony, 9 Bishop Street, Newcastlewest, Co Limerick. Price is 20euro incl p+p. I had a quick look before the wife took it away for wrapping for Xmass day. Some nice photos and it includes the Fenit and Foynes lines.

That's Gas alright.I have seen this problem before with the Capacitors,but perhaps it might be only certain types of chassis that this affects,however I always remove them from the likes of the deltic chassis. As regards the 141,the select as far as I know is very basic for DCC,but a good wheel clean could help and have you tryed a different decoder?.

Was your loco DCC ready or was it converted to DCC.The reason I ask is if the motor has supression capacitors still attached,this can cause poor response to loco motor.

Four car 22ks on Rosslare route

DCC Sound Chips for 071's

The MSB chips are recorded from the real locos.The 071 sound is from 088,the 201 sound is from 212,and the 141/181 is from 188 which has a sort of clanking noise when ticking over,which is unique to 188.A MK 3 EGV used to be available but the problem was is all it did was the engine noise of the EGV and nothing else bar a few station announcements,hence it's expensive for a sound chip just for that.I have a sample of Gerry Byrnes EGV with sound on my YouTube page. -

A few photos I took last Saturday at the Enniscorthy Station 150. A large tent was erected outside the station serving refreshments, while the "Castle Express"brought us on a spin around the town.All this was free,and well done to IE,and to Oliver Doyle who gave a talk on the arrival of railways to Enniscorthy.I missed the unvailing of a plaque as I wanted to get to the 1798 centre to see WMCs display.

That's a great line up.reminds me of the four 141s that were coupled together near Clonslla for clearance trials a number of years ago.
