Ritchie its a Humbrol oil stain wash I got in Grahams last week along with a rust wash.Just messing about with these washes and I nearly forgot that decals will have to be stuck on. The inspection car might end up on a siding unpowered with a few chaps inside.

Work seems slow on my workbench,however here are a few updates- I have the oil wagon finished bar some minor paint detail and I have tried some Humbrol oil stain and rust but need to get the proper decals before I do any more. The SSM inspection car is slowly coming together- I am not sure if I will put a motor in her but have put the inside parts ready for paint and glue If she will be unpowered. I plan to change the body of a39 to 001,and so have started with the SSM brass detail kit on 001s body. This body will have directional lighting as well as the sound chip body.

I would love to get a rake of timbers at some stage,so this has my attention.

I paid a visit to Grahams today and picked up some auto ballasters. So I brought them down to Gerrys Ballybeg tonight for a spin with 073.

Just finished the detailing on ballast wagon,and delighted with results. looks far better with proper pipes and hand wheels,and although tricky to get the brass wire along the body side and rejoin on the bend area. Now only 11 more wagons to go!. And two wagons together showing before and after.

Thanks Tom,It was always my intention to detail my ballast train,and the pipes along the body side and the brake pipes are next on the list.I have 12 ballast wagons to detail and then the plough vans will get some work on them.

Great story alright.I have a photo of that mock up cab in Inchicore works-will have a look for it later.I wonder where it is now.
