  1. I just noticed a mistake that both ladders should be opposite each other on the tank.I will sort it out later.
  2. Another update on the bubble- I am using a gray undercoat for the body and from what I can see a few extra coats will be required as you can see the wood grain. I made the pipe area from the parts left over from the prestwin and a little bit of brass wire. The break pipe is not from the prestwin kit but from my own stock on hand. Some more detail to be done and then some paint and decals. And with a bit of luck she might look like this bubble a bit.
  3. 9002 looks sooo nice:drool:
  4. Oh so nice, brings back the good old days.
  5. I spent some time in the cold and damp shed tonight and did a bit of work on the cement bubble.I am trying to use as much as the parts that come with the prestwin kit as possible, and along with some some brass wire and scrap brass parts.I know the SSM kit would save time, but i am keen to see how this bubble turns out when finished and see what ye guys think of it.
  6. Bubbles look great Kieran, and 045 is looking and running well.
  7. Lovely shots there Shem.
  8. Very nice and cant wait to see it finished.
  9. The bubbles look great Kieran.
  10. Thanks for comments guys. Now to get the layout in order..
  11. Yes far too clean. The horns are not great either, but I might not bother changing them as I would like to do a fresh SF body with full detail and IR paint job some time in the future.
  12. I finally got around to switching the chassis on A39 to IR 001. I used some of the SSM detail kit such as roof grill and lamp irons,CAWs protection thing on the front, wipers and headlight detail.I also switched over the wiring for the headlights from A39 so she has directional lighting as well as the sound chip. I am delighted with 001 and she slots in for far more work with the stock I have.I have a few photos here and a video of her on the layout. The layout is in a bit of a state as a lot of work will be done on that when the weather heats up a bit.
  13. Great videos alright, and this line should have had some part preserved perhaps around Kilmacthomas in the 90s but as usual-nothing.
  14. The photos have a Burma road feel to them, very nice.
  15. Super detail-I love it.
  16. Hell of a job George, and great detail for such small wagons.
  17. Very impressive Des,I hope to get a few flats first and then save for a ammonia rake.
  18. Great job as that looks tricky enough.
  19. I had noticed the Edit option was gone about a week ago When I needed to correct a missing word.I thought it was my wonky laptop.
  20. I got my February IRRS journal today and some fine photos to mention including the cover of a black and tan 132 at Sligo Quay. Another photo is of Sulzer 1100 in works gray livery on a trial train in 1950 and a gem showing 0-4-0 loco passing through fivemiletown main street on the Clogher Valley line in 1938. Our own Noel Enright has a lovely shot of 209 on a timber ex Westport on the rear cover.
  21. They do look nice, best of luck with them.
  22. Very impressive.
  23. That won't work, she knows my lack of religion,so that would be a dead giveaway.
  24. I think Shem would love the great pints in your local. I would love to visit TJ again. What excuse could I give the wife?-Very important meeting of Irish railway modeler members in Westport?.
