  1. Lovely hurling Richie.I look forward to a update on Ballyvoyle viaduct.
  2. Noel if you are looking for a speaker for your 141 check out Murphy models Site-reviews, which has feature from Model rail a number of years ago on installing A chip and speaker.DCC supplies have the speakers.I think it's a 4 ohm speaker You need if it's a MSB chip.Georgeconna on here did a brilliant feature on this himself on a previous site, but this is lost in cyberspace space now.
  3. Expo or Vintage day is on Sunday 7th September in the village of Caim near Enniscorthy.A real culchie fest, but no lovely girls competition.
  4. Thanks lads.Yes she was built quick and I only used what bits of timber that were around the shed.Ye can't see the full Horror of my poor carpentry skills, however it's great what a bit of filler and a lick of paint can do.
  5. Richie, any update on Ballyvoyle viaduct or have I missed it.
  6. I always like class 80 builds,you are doing a great job.
  7. Very nice Design. Will give you a shout soon.
  8. Thanks lads.Shes nice and simple with no Station, and best of all it fits into my shed very well for storage. Now that this is just finished I have to start back at the layout in the attic, that is in need of a lot of work.
  9. I started this little display unit in May and built it with bits and bobs that I had around the place.I plan to show her off at a vintage day in September with sound chipped 071,201,001 and 141s with cement, beet wagons and perhaps a short craven and BR van.Anyway some photos and video-
  10. Nice job Noel.Reminds me to sort out my own grab rails on grey 071.
  11. If you go back to nearly the start of enniscorthyman workbench you will see some photos of my conversion of the SSM overlay on a old spare Hornby mk3 restaurant coach.I did find it difficult to get the brass Sides to curve at the bottom. You will have to cut away part of the sides of donor coach once you have alined the brass etch.Make sure the brass and coach sides are scored so they glue well together. Also when painting you will need to use a primer that can be used on brass.
  12. Beautiful Kieran. Fantastic video.
  13. Wow impressive.
  14. She's a beauty.
  15. As you can see 001 is under a bit of pressure with the 11 cements on the incline. As I don't have any inclines on my layout in the attic she works fine.
  16. Finally got a chance to upload a bit of video as well from my visit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkZVDr4UTi4&list=UUoUgfyFH9GGyGyc10Go4nYA
  17. I am glad people like this layout so much.I enjoy my visits to see It every so often, and as my own layout is in bits at the moment I love giving my own rolling stock a run.The owner and builder Paddy -Well done.
  18. Brilliant Des I will up grade my Two shapeways plough vans To your kits.
  19. One bit of advise to take is don't buy a DCC controller from a manufacturer who make model trains-Hornby Bachmann.Choose lenz, Powercab or gauge master prodigy. Expensive I know but worth the extra money. I had a dynamis-trouble.
  20. Glad ye like the photos guys. The headlights are not to bad to wire up Shem. You follow the standard wiring for directional lighting. The main problem I found is light bleed around the headlamp area.I built up a small box of plasticard around the headlamp area and painted it black. It is possible to do the pilot lights as working as well, however I have not gone down this road yet.
  21. I was down to run my 001 and 11 cement wagons on this nice layout last night. Here are a few photos-
  22. Wow, impressive is right.
  23. She's a stunner,wow.
