  1. great clip there Shem.God C231 looks great, when you think its nearly 30years withdrawn.
  2. The derailment of G611 did cause a problem, and I missed C231 in action, but these things happen. It was rerailed just as I had to leave. Here are a few photos.
  3. Should be a great build Tom.You will have to build a certain viaduct on this you know.
  4. "While at the Downpatrick Gala yesterday,I was speaking to two lads who I have met at various Rail tours over the years and were not into the Irish model railway scene, however they have since bought some stock and got the bug, mainly because of the fantastic models by MM,and because of the lack of action on our railways and the onslaught of the plastic railcars. This can only be good for our hobby. I think 230 or 233 might tempt me to purchase one.
  5. Lovely job Gerry.I look forward to the Wexford show to see it in action again.
  6. Lovely job, and the van looks great.
  7. Good luck with the new layout Tom. I love that extra detail on 072.
  8. Just wondering are many going to Downpatrick Diesel gala on the 18th October to celebrate the ITGs 25th anniversary. They hope to have 231 in action on the day. I am trying sort out my own travel arrangements, and should be a great day.
  9. Yes the Park Royal is from IFM rtr. A nice job it is too, and she runs very well. I must get a few myself, maybe for X Mass.
  10. Hope this works better.
  11. Sorry I had to remove the video from photobucket as It turned out poorly, however I will post to youtube and repost here.
  12. Some photos of my visit to Ballybeg a few days ago.I have a small bit of video to show as well and some views of the IFM Park Royal which I love and the Bullied open wagon,Lyons tea, silver tin van all by IFM.
  13. The 121 kit is quite good Rich and the resin kit was A vast improvement on the white metal kit. I have yet to find a decent chassis to run her. The athearn SW 1500 I have is not great. Roll on the Murphy version.
  14. The work bench at the moment has me looking at projects that are on the long finger. The MIR 121 needs a little work on the paint work and the sw 1500 chassis will be looked at as regards will it be of any use at all.The MIR 071 has a decent sd9 chassis and I am thinking of doing the plastic card upgrade. The Wickham inspection car needs a 35mm black to get her going and more paint and bits to finish her off. I have the SSM brass detail kits to do 4 more esso tankers so these will keep me going for a few weeks.
  15. Always nice to see what's going on, on Tara junction.

  22. Superb work there pop eye, very impressive.
  23. This is brilliant lads well done.It looks great.
  24. Wonderfull Richie.I have been on that viaduct with track on it and with track lifted and always found it a joy to look at.There is something magical about it. The guy who took that photo David Parks told me he had a pass to travel on a few of the weed killer trains to Ballinacourty in the 80s and remembers traveling in the accommodation van with the door open sitting on a chair going across that viaduct.
