  1. Rich, its a pity you bought that chassis as with most pancake motors-poor running.I recommend the Hornby deltic which has a nice chassis that can be cut and shut, and has great slow running.I got mine from Hattons for 36 stl. You can see on my workbench my a39 build with SSM detail kit as well as the A class sound chip. Are you sticking in any lighting in the headlights?.
  2. I suffer from colour confusion myself-hence why I am not a train Driver as I would fail a medical.I love my brown alpine low jacket but the wife tells me its black.
  3. Thats a great job on the Mk3 coach-well done.
  4. Sorry Walter the 6mm should be 60mm. I can be a danger to myself when behind a keyboard.
  5. Good man Shem.I would say the smell of smoke in those buses was strong.
  6. Walter I will check with my friend who did the wood turning. All I can tell you is that the bubble body's are about 6mm in length.
  7. After a visit last October to see Noels Tara Junction and having been stunned by his layout and the variety of rolling stock, and his collection of Irish buses, I just loved the Bedford SS School bus in the long and short wheelbase. So I bought the long wheelbase version from Shapeways and now have her just finished.SSM decals along with some hand painting, plus a few passengers inside. As with 3d printing the finish is rough, but I did not bother with sanding. The front and rear windows have proven difficult to insert, and I used some clear fix to stick them in place, and I might re fix at a later stage. My mate who is good at wood turning, made up 11 more bubbles for me. I have 4 in the shed-1 made up and 3 painted and in need of chassis. I think when they are all done a rake of 15 will be nice,so now to save for 15 prestwin kits and some decals from Des.
  8. Looks fantastic, and I never saw a signal in a position like that before.
  9. Kadee no.20 more like it Bos. The 20s work well but I felt the wagons needed a bit more weight. The ballast plough vans are on the bench as well for work.
  10. Workbench is back in action again after a bit of rest. Ballast wagons are on the production line again for new brass bearings, pipes, hand wheel, and some rust and the stone load has been dropped down a bit and some weight added to the base of the chassis.
  11. I was down to visit Ballybeg last week and brought along 071 in grey and a few autoballasters in tow.You wont normally see anything post 1994 on this layout so enjoy a few photos-
  12. A fine job on the wasp stripes George.
  13. Stunning model,I would love one but funds not good.
  14. Look forward to your workbench action.
  15. Super Noel.Reminds me of Push Pulls in Enniscorthy Station about 1991 when evening return to Connolly crossed GAA special. No camera with me that time.
  16. I will get one or two kits at some stage.I always loved the Park Royal coaches, and the fact you can run them with Craven coaches as well.
