  1. I got my journal last week and a nice feature on the Castlecomer branch.
  2. Please do a workbench update Richie. I would love to get one of those overlays too. The older weed spray has some great "last movements" such as The North Kerry in may 1984 with 172 at the helm. New Ross in 1995,Waterford-Ballinacourty 1988, Kingscourt 2002 and I think Foynes in 2001.
  3. I have knocked off mirrors from the Transits a few times-they are very fragile.Yes some finer chains in the future when I come across them. When I get back to the layout in the attic(its in bits at the mo)I will use a proper backdrop, although the outdoor photos do show more detail and any flaws:doh:
  4. Nice photos Tommy.Such a nice station.
  5. Just finished 4 IFM cement wagons,so I will have a nice rake of ten. I weathered one wagon a bit,so delighted with them, now to get the layout going (again) in the attic. I finished off the short wheel base an post transit (SSM decals). The ESB transit is by "Model Shop" with a few ladders I added myself from the young lads broken die-cast fire engines.
  6. Great photos there Shem.Hope you are feeling better.
  7. Super video and UTA stock looking good.
  8. Another livery difference is the wiper on the window behind the driver.I am not sure when they were removed or if they lasted into Supertrain livery.
  9. Very nice Noel.I would love a railtour with mk3s-hard to think it will never happen again. The SF EGV is nice too,and I would like to get a super train mk3 set at some stage having seen yours Noel.
  10. God the wallet is still recovering from the 071s,and I would like 077 as well as one CIE livery. That said the 121s are a Very nice prospect.Such a nice sight when double headed.
  11. As I had lots of spare unused prestwin parts, that why I had a go at building a bubble as cheaply as possible, only Sean you will have only one ladder that comes with the prestwin kit,but you do need two ladders for the bubble.
  12. A Mate who is handy at wood turning did a batch for me.
  13. I got a delivery of 10 prestwin units so these will be used on my cement bubbles. I plan to build 10 first and finish off the last few at so other stage with a total of 15.I built my own pipe area with some brass wire and a part from the prestwin kit.Its not quite right when compared to the MIR bubble, but I am happy with it. I got a couple of these Dapol rtr 11 ton chassis which will be used on my IFM cements.Although not quite as good in detail as the prestwin chassis, they run very well and have NEM pockets. I put this signal together with bits left over from SSM kits.
  14. Good luck with the build, and let us know how you are getting on with it. Eamonn
  15. Rich, its a pity you bought that chassis as with most pancake motors-poor running.I recommend the Hornby deltic which has a nice chassis that can be cut and shut, and has great slow running.I got mine from Hattons for 36 stl. You can see on my workbench my a39 build with SSM detail kit as well as the A class sound chip. Are you sticking in any lighting in the headlights?.
  16. I suffer from colour confusion myself-hence why I am not a train Driver as I would fail a medical.I love my brown alpine low jacket but the wife tells me its black.
  17. Nice long rake of Beets Kieran.
  18. Thats a great job on the Mk3 coach-well done.
  19. Sorry Walter the 6mm should be 60mm. I can be a danger to myself when behind a keyboard.
  20. God she's a beauty Ant.
  21. Good man Shem.I would say the smell of smoke in those buses was strong.
  22. Walter I will check with my friend who did the wood turning. All I can tell you is that the bubble body's are about 6mm in length.
  23. Thanks Rich, good to hear from you again.
