  1. Happy Birthday Shem.New Colnago to celabrate?.
  2. Thanks for the photos and story-wonderful.
  3. The Bells are nice indeed, and just looking at them on the siding with no loco was still nice.must get a few myself.
  4. Thanks Lads, and Des thanks to you for the SSM brass detail parts which helped a lot.
  5. Sure is looking good.Cant wait to see it finished.
  6. Just a few photos of a39 on her first run on Gerrys Ballybeg.I did take a video, but for some reason did not come out.I am much happier with the extra weight and proper bogie sideframes not to mention the bass reflex speaker gives a much better sound. I will do a video again when I get a chance. Not sure if the video will show the better bass reflex sound to good effect.
  7. Very nice John,great detail.
  8. They look a nice kit,well done.
  9. Spotted 071 and autoballasters in Enniscorthy station this evening on the long siding North of the station. The train is well out of photographic range but I will pop over tomorrow for a gawk.
  10. Lovly stuff, especially like the weed sprays.
  11. You have done a great job, well done.
  12. It's looking stunning.
  13. Welcome to the site, and nice work on the j26.
  14. They look great,well done.
  15. Thanks Tom. I was down at Gerrys Ballybeg tonight and brought a39 for a trial. I am delighted with the bass reflex sound and took some photos and video, however my video did not come out.i will post up the photos later.I also hope to do a photo feature on the A and C class locos of Ballybeg soon.
  16. Great photos there, thanks for sharing.I was down in Wexford this evening myself and passed by the station. It was lashing rain and too dark, could see nothing.
  17. I sure will do a video when I get a chance.
  18. By the time I would get down in the evening I think light conditions would be poor, unless the train is there on Saturday morning. A 071 on the Rosslare line now is a rare thing.
  19. A little bird told me that a 071 and autoballasters are parked up at Wexford station for the week.
  20. The Dutch van is in need of a proper coupling, while the plough van is far too clean and when time permits will get some dirt and grime on them. The plan is to refurbish my 12 ballast hoppers with proper vacuum pipes, and I have spotted some nice brass wheels for the side of the hoppers which I persume let the stones out underneath.
  21. Its a while since my workbench has had any action. A39 is nearly finished, and the last few days I have her with the bass reflex speaker and finaly stuck on the bogie side frames, which got a little rub of weathering powder. The Bass reflex gives more bank for your buck, but main problem is getting enough of the Deltic weights in place,so next I may test her and she how she goes.
  22. Rich. Journal no 166-june 2008 has these photos of the expermentinal livery for the mk2ds and well worth tracking down. And Journal no 161 October 2006 has a feature on the craven coaches.
  23. There is a IRRS journal from 2008 that pays homage to the Brel MK 2d coaches. It shows the coaches in 1972 in various experimental liverys at Inchicore works.
  24. I dont know if this was discussed before, but I have often wondered about the marker lights, on the 121,141/181,071 in the original as delivered condition of two marker lights on the left and just one on the right, which I cant remember was it red or white.Anyway why just one on the right?. And while talking about this, why did the Push Pull fitted 121s such as 128 have a single red block marker fitted much higher than other 121s.When Mr Murphy looks at the 121s for his next venture, perhaps these strange marker light positions will have him cursing.
  25. Welcome to the site, and its great to see young blood in the hobby.Keep up the good work.
