  1. I am finding photobucket a bit harder to upload now. It's a song and dance to select the img code when trying to paste to this site, and indeed some of my photos have not pasted at all.The older version of Photobucket was much more easy to use.anyone else find this?.
  2. I am nearly sure it's 076 that has the small IE logo as I have a photo of her crossing the Slaney viaduct hauling MK 3 pps on a Sunday service in the 90s.
  3. They look fantastic,well done.
  4. Yes I have the layout in a rectangle shape, but certain parts I might not do any work on as the long term goal is a proper layout In a man shed free from the problems of a attic.
  5. Thanks Noel, and I will do some video tomorrow, and at least now I can do a proper demo of the A class sound chip.
  6. Thanks lads, but still a hell of lot of work to do.
  7. Cheers Ant,tell me any suggestions on mounting the fan blades?. The way I done it does work, but there could be a better way.
  8. Finaly after many years i have trains working again in the attic. As a shed layout is well into the future,a least now I can watch some train movements. She will be called Ballyhyland and still a lot of work to do as some problems with track etc.I will post up some video when it works much better.
  9. I have stuck in a bass enhanced 4 ohm speaker to 073. It gives a nice bit of extra bass to the loco and is handy enough to pop in. After taking off the bonnet section, the original speaker needs to be taken out,and a bit of heat from the iron lets the wires pop out handy enough. The main problem sticking in the bass enhanced speaker is the fan plate will have to be removed and either glue the fans on or I put a bit of brass wire accross them as I have done, maybe there is a better way?. [/url The Bass reflex speaker can be fitted too,but needs a lot more work so this photo shows the difference in size. The speaker will protrude into the cab,so you have to think if you want this in order to have more bang for your buck.
  10. Nice shots Tom,and thanks for sharing. I would love to see a book on the 5 railways of Waterford someday, and maybe it might raise awareness of the line for preservation.Does anyone know of the EM50 trip to Ballinacourty in 1990,as I would love to know what happened after this trip as regards this line for retention as tourist line. Looks like there was not enough money or will to save the full line as the ITG were asked about the line at that time as well.
  11. It does look better in the light of day,but I will need to inspect myself,a 071 in the flesh.
  12. It's strange that there are no photos of any trains on the red iron bridge Rich. The RTE series "off the beaten track" did show a goods train on the barrow bridge in New Ross.
  13. That's what I thought too Shem. A fine bridge all the same, and imagine modeling it.
  14. Stunning work John-I love it.
  15. I love what you done to 078,and the weathering is spot on. Although you will have to do a 078 nearly black and bonnet doors open like my avatar photo.
  16. That is a lovely selection of stock, and layout looks great.
  17. New Daft Punk Album sounds good. Anyone else listening to the new DMV Album?.
  18. Great photos Noel, and I love 073 in particular. I hope you enjoyed your trip to Wexford.
  19. I love that sulzer sound,nice work.
  20. I hope you will post up a video, would love to see it in action.
  21. The Sulzer stopped working for some reason, sound was working but she would not move.Gerry did not get a chance to Check it out.
  22. Yes that O gauge 071 is superb.Wrenn was telling me that there was only about ten ever built, and I would love one for above the fire place.
  23. Are you saying I am the Charlie Bird of IRM?.lol. Glad ye like the photos, and I had a ball the two hours I was there, and thanks to Donal and gang for all the hard work with the club. I met a guy with his wife and kids who I know and was his first time at such a event and his family were stunned at the quality of the displays.
  24. If the 071s were painted pink with red dots, I would not care as long as they have a long term future. But God,surely the good folk at Inchicore who think up liverys could have done much better?.
