  3. I suppose when you think of it the 071s had the aerodynamics of a brick,so perhaps running them at higher speed and the fuel used did not add up?.
  4. The site is faster on my I pod touch,well done Stephen, mind you I got a upgrade on my I pod Touch IOS system today from the nice folks in apple. I am thinking of getting a tablet later in the year,what do people think is best-I pad?,Samsung tablets?.
  5. I know 008 was destroyed,maybe this was the one.C201 was also destroyed by a bomb.
  6. I don't know what is the record speed is,but one fact I can tell you is the top speed of a 071 is 90mph, However they were tested and pushed to 100mph.

  8. There was one 141/181 blown in half up north during the troubles and the Brittish Goverenment insisted that it be rebuilt as they had responsibility for paying for damage. After a number of years the loco was rebuilt and the Brittish Government were shocked at the cost,as it would have been for cheaper for GM to ship over new loco in replacement for it.I don't know what number It was.

  10. You will have to contact supplier and see what they say. The lights work well on the new zimo chips,from what I have seen.
  11. What chip are you using,is it the sound chip?. The sound chip is plug and play,and all lights should work.

  14. 075 was a unlucky loco with the Buttavant crash in 1980, and she ran into the back of a liner and ended up on her side sometime in the 90s.

  16. It was you Broithe Murphy that got me into Klaus Schulze I think?.I got a few CDs of Schulze live with Lisa Gerrard-of "Dead Can Dance "fame-fantastic stuff.

Have you heard of "The dark side side of the moog" by Pete Namlook and Klaus Schulze.About 11 or 12 CDs were made with a Ambient-electro-Dark Ambient take on "Dark side of the moon.You can hear some of the albums on YouTube.I love them but might not be everyone's cup of tea. I must get my hands on "The Wall" and "The Final cut".

  19. Played Pink Floyd Wish you were here today,and what a album.I had not heard it for years. I also love the album Ultravox brought out last year,the first since 1986,and a great album it is too,its called" Brillient".

I Jane got a few bits from Rails,and normally takes around a week give or take.I do know that Royal Mail has its own parcel courier for Rep of Ireland normally for large parcels,but god help you if you live in the back of beyond-I have heard that they return parcels back to UK-unable to locate,without even trying.

  24. Anyone know where that clip is at the start of the program showing the steam freight train melting away and then showing abandoned line-and really nice music to match.
