I got some work done today,with the buffers and roof and side
grills.I cut out the brass chassis and according to the instructions
all I have to do is transfer accross the bogies,although I am not sure
the brass chassis will be strong enough when you consider that extra
weight will have to be added and perhaps be a little too bendy,but that
is for another day.I used the deltic chassis for my A39 project and
had to cut of the fuel thanks and cut and shut to suit.The brass
chassis does fit well to the loco body,and so will give me a idea of
what is needed to be done on the deltic.
I also cut out parts for the drivers desk and it looks like only one
end will have the drivers desk as space will be a problem in the
motor bogie end.I may study this desk as I am not sure what way
it goes,so any suggestions are welcome.I cant say I have seen
many photos of the inside of a 101 loco anywhere.
