  2. Yes Railer-the real 080 has received the bodywork overhaul and is soon to enter the paint shop at Inchicore for the slate grey livery to be applied, Thanks Andy,Kieran and Eamonn

Friday night freight on Tara junction sees from the right 7071 haul the DFDS CPW liner,7077 haul the IWT liner, 7078 the empty timber and 7080 operating light engine to collect the HOBS train, On the left in the distance at the MPD 7076 is getting fuel,oil and water-it will be sent out on a trial run in the morning and if all goes well I'll allocate it to the Sperry train for a few days.

  6. Seamus-On the way down in Athy from 11:25-11:45,and on the return-again in Athy from 16:00-16:47-is probably the closest to you
  7. Seamus-those rails are clamped temporarily and are waiting to be welded together.
  8. A disaster for Waterford from a passenger operations point of view-unless access in the form of a crossover is provided from the former main platform to connect with the new arrival/departure road at the end of the new extended platform, but somehow I can't see that happening at this stage.
  9. Supertrain Sunday sees 087 pass 084 with a down express, 152 is the carriage pilot loco, Over on the left 085 has charge of the pallet cement liner and 181+166 wait with the ammonia in the loop to allow an up Mk3 passenger overtake. Transfers are from the Railtec range.
  10. A busy Sunday afternoon with various types of buses coming and going while a Mk2 Supertrain speeds underneath...
  11. Afternoon lads...Sunday engineering works on Tara junction sees a top n tailed HOBS train with 078 leading and 082 trailing while on the opposite line tamper 751 does a bit of badly needed tamping.

  15. 071 hauls failed tamper 751 through the junction en route to Kildare plant shop for repairs....

  18. Another view sees Mk2 EGV 5602,push pull control car 6104, and GSVs 3164 and 3189 receive attention-along with locos 085 and 124.
  19. Thanks lads, Another location that's hasn't been photographed often is the works area, Seen here is GSV 3177 about to undergo a boiler change and some minor bodywork patching up.
