  1. Another view sees Mk2 EGV 5602,push pull control car 6104, and GSVs 3164 and 3189 receive attention-along with locos 085 and 124.
  2. Thanks lads, Another location that's hasn't been photographed often is the works area, Seen here is GSV 3177 about to undergo a boiler change and some minor bodywork patching up.

Hi Geoff, Yes I'm slowly gathering together all the various bits and pieces for this new layout, I've decided to name it The Claremorris to Athenry junction railway and it will be based on both stations-with possibly Tuam station at one end and a MPD at the other-I have approximately 14'x12' space to work with, I intend to start work in early March....

  7. I seem to be having problems posting multiple photos to this thread of late with this iPhone... Anyway here is another view of the MM Mk2s arriving at Platform 1,with my Lima set arriving at Platform 2.

Thanks Andy and Jhb, My Mk2 Supertrain coaches got a run this evening behind 087 I'm happy with the set of six,although having been inspired by Glendergs excellent weathering technique I will in time do a similar effect on these coaches-as they could do with some grime etc An aerial view of the junction with 087 hauling the new Murphy models Mk2 set, 084 passes on the down line with my Lima set of Supertrain Mk2 liveried coaches.

  11. Under the watchful eye of the carriage depot supervisor, carriage pilot locomotive 156 has been joined by 152 to shunt/swap around coaches in preparation for more new arrivals over the coming days.... 152 and 156 at the valeting plant.

  13. Oh yes Paul,you have certainly captured the look of Connolly station and loco depot-This layout will definatly be a winner and draw a crowd at any exhibition in the future.
  14. I have to say the Supertrain Mk2s don't look too bad-yes you might see a rake behind those 071s yet....depending on what sort of a deal I can get for 6 or 7.
  15. Thanks lads for your comments, This afternoon we see Original CIE liveried 071s-084,087 and 088 in the running shed for an A exam, Rushing by on the up main is the 15:20 up Enterprise service being pushed by loco 230.

  18. Just finished the cream and blue single door D class-another nice addition to the bus fleet Seen here on route 12 surrounded by M,E and Atlantean buses.
  19. A lucky catch earlier on the way home got Enterprise livery loco 233 work a Ballina-Claremorris empty flat wagons transfer consisting of 18 LX wagons The liner is seen here crossing the main N5 road near the former Ballyvary station

Evening gents, Fresh from the Tara Jctn paint spray facility and seen here on a trial run we see 0117076... 0117076 arrives at Tara Jctn station,the driver having switched on the cab light in preparation of changing ends and working back to the MPD. Transfers are from the recently released Railtec range containing numbers for 076 and 080.
  21. 233 worked the IWT liner today,it's the last member of the operational fleet of 201s to have worked the liner-a nice birthday present..!!! 233 is seen just after arrival in Ballina freight yard with a fully loaded IWT liner.

  23. I like the plan Dave-A bit like North Esk with the mainline running alongside the container depot-(without the turntable)-another fine layout in the making.
