  1. Nice job there Eamonn.
  2. Had it happened exactly one hour earlier then it would have been a different story-he would have been one unlucky postman-as the 201 hauled IWT liner would have had a different effect on the outcome......
  3. Well done-excellent build, looks great...
  4. Well done Kieran-your research and patience have definatly paid off.

  6. Thanks Sean-That's a great idea, leave that one with me, It should be an easy one to set up....
  7. Thanks lads for your comments Thanks to Jim at Marls models Dublin for the supply of the Carliow station building.. Here we see DVT 9001 working the Enterptoee service arrive at Central station 9001 arrives with the enterprise set while 229 passes with the IWT liner
  8. With thanks to the Wanderer for the inspirational photo-I was able to recreate the wagon transfer 011077 gets priority with the wagon transfer comprising of two Container pocket wagons and an ex works timber bogie wagon while in the distance 229 is held at the stop signal with the IWT liner. 011077 passes the recently rebuilt Tara Jctn station with the wagon transfer, 086 has charge of the FO Cravens set on platform 2. Another view of the wagon transfer on the bi directional four track lines.
  9. I finished the M class and KC class buses over the last few days... KC1 on a test run The KC and KD at the high street bus stop 48 IK on the Galway route is passed by 1 IK which is operating the Tralee route. A selection of buses pass each other on the high street...

  13. The driver training didn't take place today as the training bus broke down....ah well maybe tomorrow......
  14. This arrived this morning, thanks to Seamus Graham for his usual speedy service I must say I'm delighted with the Carlow station building as it really fits in and adds that extra Irish station feeling to the layout, Highly recommended for any Irish themed layout, I also added the Hornby station canopy-which after a small modification fitted perfectly, although I think I might paint it a grey colour instead of the dark blue... The new Tara junction station building. Paul the station manager is delighted with his new building.... A nice crowd gather for the evening commuter service to the city.... Arrow liveried 2601+2602 arrive from the south with the evening commuter service.. Paul the station manager gives the right away signal to the driver and returns to his new office.
  15. Humbrol Matt grey number 27 and Revell Matt yellow-(SM 310) for the warning panel. Thanks lads for all your comments....

  17. Thanks Stephen...I've just ordered one.
  18. Thank you Railer, 077 was repainted by myself with the grab rails removed and the area filed and sanded flush with the body-then repainted with the correct shade of yellow, transfers were from the Railtec range. 078 is an original Murphy model grey again with the above modification done, Loco 234 is sound fitted with the transfers coming from the SSM range....
  19. Thanks Tom, I got those walkways here...http://www.knightwing.co.uk/images/product/small/pm134.jpg
  20. Nice job Stephen-where did you get the lighting tower? I could do with a few like that dotted around the depot and yard...
  21. It was low in power HF...it was better to exchange it at Kildare rather for it to breakdown later in the journey and block up any sections to Ballina.
  22. A few photos from the nerve centre of Tara Jctn-the MPD.... 7077 and 7078 were overdue exams so were recalled this evening for attention A couple of shunting moves were needed to free up the running shed roads to allow both locos access to the shed, The fitters gather around the locos....while over on the mainline recently released loco 229 gets a trial run All hands on deck.....!!! Barry-the expert fitter has the task of checking out loco 7078 for water....note the orange paint on the fan housing....this housing came from loco 087... Barry is still hard at it as 229 and a Sulzer 101 pass each other on the mainlines while operating light engine movements...photo taken from the top of the MPD building After 7078 gets sorted out,Barry turns his attention to 7077,both locos are needed back into traffic as they are popular and powerful according to drivers that have worked them While Barry was checking the Water levels on 7078-he manged to sneak a photo of other locos receiving attention at the depot....on the right is 234 which has been passed for service while on the left 210 is shutdown-needing a bit more TLC to get her back in action....
