  6. Not long to go now for that birthday Kieran-6th...!!!
  7. Morning lads, A few Christmas shopping specials are operating around the junction this morning along side the regular passenger train movements.... Here we see 2601+2602 in original arrow livery working alongside 2607+2608 which is in the current grey livery-they are operating local services-over on the fast line 29001 in commuter livery overtakes 2607+2608 while working an auxiliary service 2601+2602 pass through the station non-stop The morning Enterprise hauled by 227 is photographed from the top deck of VG33 on route 83 which is heading for the town centre Thanks to Brian Collins for producing such a fine Dublin bus model-looking forward to the next surprise HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL from the Chief operating officer of Tara Junction.
  8. Santa Seamus sure done a great job on her-I'm sure you happy with the result-nice one Eamonn
  9. That's up to you Fran....but all will be revealed in due course....!!!!
  10. This arrived safe and sound earlier this morning-and less than 24 hrs from ordering.....now that's what I call a service.....THANK YOU Seamus...excellent customer service as usual.
  11. Evening lads, A few photos from the junction of some operations earlier..... Sulzer loco 101 returned to service-(thanks to enniscorthyman and Gerry Byrne)-thanks lads The depot manager and some fitters have a chat about the condition and haulage power of the loco-so it's decided to send her out on a trial run with a Cravens coach and a BR SHV....... 101 is seen here passing the carriage valeting plant under the watchful eyes of the depot manager....the loco now is the pilot loco for the carriage plant releasing a 141 for other duties. Another trial that took place was loco 160 hauling a recently acquired CIE liveried Mk3 gen van-7604.... And finally some 141/181s have been brought back to the MPD for the Christmas for storage as I've cancelled most of the liners-(except the Guinness liner.....which will have an 071 allocated just in case....!!!) Nearest the camera is 146,186,189,175,177,184 and 187 with on the left the RPSI loco B141 being used as the loco depot pilot.
  12. No problems this end with the new website Seamus and as you now know an order has been placed....
  13. I remember it well hauling various M,C and SS type buses back to Ballina over the years but never knew that it was designed and built in Ballina, thanks for sharing the article Stephen.
  14. Excellent attention to detail there Paul top class work well done-your former boss will be delighted I'm sure with your work.
  15. They look to be carrying cable troughs-possibly for use on the DART project-I've seen these heavy duty plastic troughs used a few years ago.
  16. A useful addition to the Main Street at Tara Junction....nice one Des...I'll be in touch
  17. Nice work Stephen-the view from inside the shed looks great.
  18. After a successful commissioning of phase one of the resignalling project which saw nine two and three aspect signals installed-it was time to run some trains, Phase two of the resignalling scheme will take place in January-I'm planning on installing some more three aspect and four aspect signals for the up and down relief/fast lines.... Anyway back to earlier...a busy evening in the freight yard saw 073 haul the BELL liner into the yard for unloading-073 went off to the depot for its overdue exam and was replaced by 011077 fresh from the depot-the liner train now having some present day MSC containers and reefer units and tanks on board....similar to yesterday's Northwall-Ballina IWT liner which was also hauled by 011077....here are a few photos from earlier....enjoy. 087 storms through the up fast with the empty timber while 085 awaits a crew to take forward the ammonia...and 011077 waits for the timber to clear the section before being let out of the loop siding. Out in the mainline 011077 let's loose with the heavy IWT liner while 071 waits in the other loop with the DFDS CPW liner train. A view of the new highly detailed reefer boxes-very nice on the rear of the liner A patrol gangers view of 071 and 011077 And finally loco 078 which is working a seven piece Mk3 set is held at signal TJ 12 as the driver gets down to talk with the controlling signalman who will inform him that he is letting 071 and the CPWs out over the crossover once the empty timber clears signal TJ 15-a busy evening..!!!
  19. Looking great Kieran.
