  1. 071 on weedsprayer heading south out of Waterford and 076 in Waterford west uploaded to my account, not bad for before brekkie!!!
  2. 710 leaving waterford
  3. Your not the only one Anthony:praying:
  4. Classy work Anthony, really like 077 in grey & with the backscene i had to look twice to see if it was a model or the real thing. Top marks sir:-bd
  5. The last i heard she was in for a major overhaul like what 077 and 071 had done, hope she isn t withdrawn though
  6. i did hear the same rumour about the weedsprayer on the Rosslare line later today. I think its 077 definetly a grey one though. Looks like its 071:doh:, think i should have looked at wanderers page before commenting. She sounded sweet while i was stopped at a checkpoint across the river from her. Any idea on times?
  7. Absolutely sound fella he his too, man that was a good layout if only i had known it was up for disposal i would have given it a good home.
  8. Theres a fella on you tube EWS 60008 who added centre sections to the older hornby coaches to get scale length mk3's but i don t think its the best way to go. The lima coaches are easier to repaint as the roof with glazing pops out of the body which makes masking off a lot easier. If your looking for egv's silverfox do rtr or kit ones, Studio Scale models do egv kits which just require a donor mk 3 and a bit of patience to do the conversion. For paints phoenix do the correct orange in a tin or a local autofactors will mix the colour for you, just ask for ral 2011, normal matt or satin black will do for for the black stripe. For decals Studio scale models offer a set for a whole rake and do white stripe decals too, railtec offer the same. For inspiration look at shinkansens workbench as he done probably the best rake i ve seen in a long time. If you need any other help along the way just ask
  9. https://www.facebook.com/groups/282266005154698/?fref=ts Some cracking pics of the railways around Waterford from the 1900's on, you might need to scroll down but its well worth the effort:D
  10. I regularally saw her over the years and she always seemed to be one that stood out in terms of sound. When she was announced by P Murphy she was top of my list to get, bought 2 in the end. All my 201's are Munster/ leinster river names just waiting on 230 to complete my fleet. 201,202,204,205,209,212,215,220,223,226 and please please:praying: Mr Murphy may i have River Bandon
  11. Many thanks lads, im humbled by the comments if anybody wants a copy of anything give us a shout by pm. I ll be adding plenty of more pics in the next few days and weeks.

  13. Even better when they had proper munster river names on them like River Suir and Anner, thanks to your decal packs:cheers:
  14. Nice pics Finbarr, i totally forgot about the special to KK many thanks for sharing.
  15. Sadely, no shes in Inchicore last time I heard.
  16. 225 crash happened on 2/9/2010
  17. 225 suffered damage to the cowcatcher, panelling, headlamp assembly, buffers, air system piping, brake system piping , wiring, bogies, diesel tank, caws equipment, hep equipment and air reservoir tanks. This happened after a fatal accident involving a tractor at a level crossing.
  18. I bought a 141 of them a few years back, it was secondhand but she was immaculate, when t to install a chip in her only to find a chip there already. Agreed the postage charges are really bad now and has put me off buying on ebay and other UK based sites.
  19. 220 is the best of the 201 releases so far, definetly the pride of my little 201 fleet;)
  20. Once the money is handed over its considered second hand , if model fair say its in as new condition except for the jumper cables id be satisfied that she d be a good one. Problem I have is trying to avoid buying it.
  21. My one was the same I clamped mine to a bit of wood and then gently heated it with the bosses hairdryer, I then left it to cool and its perfect now.
  22. Walkies, a little railway photography, a dip in Bunmahon and a glass of clonmels finest my ideal evening wrapped up only ruined by work in the morning:(.
  23. 076 at the fuel point, after walking back to the car spotted the gates closed at the old bell terminal so stayed a little while and 073 with an empty load of container flats, first time since the closure of the Rosslare line i ve managed to catch a movement south of the station.
  24. I'm 99.9% sure i won t get down the sound route. I was not impressed with it in 2007 when i had a few UK locos fitted with sound and to be honest i haven t heard anything so far that would change my mind. Don t get me wrong i like the locos but can t justify spending €100 plus on a sound decoder for even one or two of my locos would prefer to spend it on some more rolling stock or even another loco.
