  1. Great work Kirley, thanks for the tip:tumbsup:
  2. Missed it due to a family occasion, so any pics or vids would be great;)
  3. I ve been playing around with the plan again and managed to get the loop parallel to the mainline, as a result the plan will be Inchicore, countryside, Glounthaune(till the n25 bridge), Middleton line & mainline will emerge into Waterford West from the otherside of the bridge and finally a bit of a run by the river before arriving back into Inchicore. The inclusion of the double slip is a major improvement thanks lads
  4. Nice pics, handy to have detailed shots of 201's never know when they come in handy:tumbsup:
  5. The changes haven t cut into your loco depot, you can still have 2 x 201 in each road, plus you could use the headshunt of the loop as another loco holding area, could be a 071/111 on Thunderbird duties. If you wanted you could put a preserved loco shed off your bay line handy for your RPSI special!!.
  6. I ll be starting her soon enough, 47 079 which later became a 57. Its one of the first locos i ever got so it survived the sale of all my BR stuff for sentimental reasons. To avoid ending up with a "triggers brush" loco i decided against using a replacement chassis The plan is Heljan fuel tanks and detailing to the underframe, extreme etching windscreens, glazing, roof fans, Crewe etched plates, detailed bufferbeam plus radiator vents.; Finally a full repaint in the Construction livery that she originally came with in the Hornby freightliner train set.
  7. If there ll be 47ft's flats bring them on
  8. Amen bro:tumbsup:
  9. A little progress, windows opened out, old exhaust out, bachmann 66 exhaust modified to fit, old details sanded off and ssm detailing kit has arrived, just waiting on a few other little bits from the uk. & yes that is a class 47 in the background which is getting a little rebuild as well;). On the A class i was thinking of going down the central can motor route but the double motor solution maybe a runner too.
  10. Its good old Anyrail, its free to download the sample programme and i find it really easy to use after a bit of playing around with.
  11. Hope you don t mind had a little play around with your plan, with the slip v point you ll lose about 64mm but you ll still have 1188mm for the longest siding (201 plus 4 x 47ft), 1010mm plus 842mm for the headshunt for the cement depot. Each of your lines for the loco depot will fit 2 x 201's. The minimum radius for this plan is second radius so the 201's can go anywhere on it. Best of luck with your new layout, your plan is class and the layout should turn out a cracker when finished. Don t forget to post up plenty of pics along the way though:tumbsup:
  12. Good job with the container flats:tumbsup:

  15. Kits, yes please
  16. Richie, Tara wagon without hood 28mm high from the base (of the wagon & not from rail level!!!) of the bufferbeam/ 32mm wide x 128mm long chassis (excluding buffers), 6mm high bufferbeam, 2.5mm gap, 8mm to brace, brace 1.5mm, 3mm from brace to high beam, beam 7mm, top of wagon 34mm wide(brace 1mm width either side. Tara roof 3mm thick x 34mm wide x 130mm long(flat roof) has 40 bars across the top 1.5mm wide, gap 1.5mm Gaps between braces on wagons vary between 10mm to 13mm wide. The shale wagon differs with the horizontal strengthening bar is between 1.5mm & 2mm thick, height above base approx 9mm with the next horizontal bar(smaller to the side) approx 1.5 to 2mm higher up.

  19. 143, 146, 156, 171,175(renum.171), 177 183, 184, 185(renum.184), 186(renum.187), 187, 192. Be careful Eamonn or i ll send the "boss" up to clean the dirty ones:p
  20. Im 99.9% sure there the same as the taras, the difference is they have a support rib higher up on the body. Dimensions are 13cm excluding buffers long by 3.2cm wide, height 2.8cm

  22. Nir blue livery it is then no 209,!!! i ll put my hands up yes i could buy the forthcoming MM, yes i spent an age looking for good pics of her and i did spend more time still looking for nameplates in my little stash of old mir 201 bits and pieces only to find out 209 has never worn them. I'm waiting on a few deliveries of accessories to liven her up a bit: Class 59 side grills and roof grills SSM 201 detailing pack plus wipers From the spares box Bachmann exhaust, spare MM 201 detailing bits, wire handrails, mir 209 nir decals. and finally trying not to order an old bachmann 66 chassis and to stick with the hornby cl 59 chassis that came with her.
  23. Tommy, know the feeling on the saving for new models for the collection both back in the past and at the present, but boy its worth it after the weeks of saving when the new one makes it to its new home. .
