  1. Others have said it before, that layout just looks so 'Irish'. The first shot looking back through the station is great, what did you use to surface the platform?
  2. I like the livery better than other UTA era ones, but I imagine it would have got dirty fairly quickly?
  3. Never knew there where blue MPDs, a strange shade too! How long where these about for?
  4. Showing the usual degree of tact, I see.. I actually think the weathering improves the look of the body shell, and I feel that, as far as I can ascertain from the video and photos, this model is one of the best looking SF Sulzers yet
  5. What's your thoughts on the silverfox sulzer? Some have mentioned the cab profile etc. Must say, the Black and Tan suits it well
  6. Looking great! What's the 2800 model based on?
  7. This move has been called off, will likely be rescheduled. I believe it is due to lack of staff with the RPSI jaunt going on this week
  8. Looks well! What livery is she going into?
  9. That interior is stunning! I actually had to check I had clicked the N gauge thread, I thought it was OO or bigger. This will be some layout when it's finished, keep us posted!
  10. 3015 seen at Sydenham working to portadown
  11. I wouldn't get your hopes up on this....
  12. Did an 071 replace her at drogheda?
  13. Glenderg, I remember hearing that the SuperTrain livery looked more "orangey" because there was a far bigger area of that colour, but that is was just the same paint as the Black and Tan. Also photos aren't always reliable sources, they are very variable, by way of development process, age etc. so that is maybe why it doesn't look quite like your paint
  14. A new project started: A model of the NIR mk2 DVTs that ran with hunslets on the enterprise The base model is a Bachmann mk2 brake
  15. I also thought that. I think the A and C class version of Black and Tan would work a lot better than the Baby GM version, ie tan stripe going downwards in the centre and white band at the cab roof level
  16. That looks to be a mk2 pressure vent. It can be sprayed in either maroon/blue, blue/grey or intercity sector livery to represent an NIR mk2 coach. Alrernatively, it can be painted in IE livery, as a number of mk2 pressure vents where bought from BR in the 1990s. For something a wee but different, you could also paint it in RPSI lined green livery, as per the Belfast based mk2 set
  17. Happy Birthday!
  18. Presumably they just made sure it was a loco with the A after it's number that did it.
  19. I wonder will the kits come with the livery painted or will that have to be done by the modeller?
  20. NIR CAF set 3001 seen at whiteabbey station in Belfast today on her way to Larne
  21. Could this be the only time a Hunslet worked mk3s?
  22. Lovely photos there, looks to be a cracker of a layout. How long is it?
  23. That looks like roughly the time when the mk3s where new, so it could be a clearance run on the Belfast line. That's a good video, nice shot of an as delivered 071 at malahide
  24. Do Railtec do anything NCC , nelson? They are very good
  25. Can't help with the cabs but the couplers are kadees. You will need to get NEM pocket compatible kadees for the murphy models locos
