  1. I will be buying mine local. It's more about saving a few quid and supporting local businesses especially now more than ever. I can't abide this boasting about it cost me ten or fifteen € less getting it online from abroad. If we don't support local businesses we lose them and I for one don't want to see that. Rich
  2. Fantastic model. Nose and cab shots really show how the shape and build has been captured. I think 129 might edge it for me as I like the two small windows over the bonnet. At last the 4 GM's from Illinois are modelled to the highest standard. Excluding see through grilles (though they are etched ) due to the chassis block and rotating axle cups the babies are still one of the best and to be honest we don't need an all new tooled updated model. I often thought about cutting out the chassis block to make the grilles see through. I might revisit it again as I have a spare chassis and motor. The attention to detail on the 141 -181 class models includes the side grilles which are verticle on a 141 and horizontal on a 181. The door louvers on the bonnets are in different places on both classes also captured on the models. Anyway back on topic I can see the 121 Class loco lights approaching in the distance, not to long until they arrive and it's double heading with a 141 on a Cement train. Rich,
  3. These wagons and the models are iconic and it takes a huge amountt of knowledge researching as many pics of wagons as possible as they all weather differently. To still have the drive to put the same amount of time and effort into the last one as the first says a lot about Jason. It takes time to reach this level and some of us never will. Rich,
  4. Fantastic as usual Noel I love it. Rich,
  5. The Sutton locomotive works class 24 seemed to be the gold standard in 00 scale since it was released and rightly so. It has met it's match here and could be toppled. Rich,
  6. It is a Bachmann N Class painted in the Green flying snail livery. Three were released by MM and Bachmann the other two were in black and cherry black glossy finish. I think the prototypes were delivered as kits. There are some differences in tender and loco to the BR versions and they were the K Class over here. They are a smashing model. Rich,
  7. Amazing such a unique loco can't wait for mine. Rich,
  8. That has Richies eye for detail and pushing it to the limit written all over it. The two liveries shown so far are really amazing although I will go for an IR with red warining panel myself. Hopefully a model of A39r in Downpatrick in current livery could be released as a limited edition. Really looking forward to these another winner men. Rich,
  9. It is an amazing model. As has been said the A has set the bar again. From on site measuring, the mind blowing cad, to this stage has had so much hard work and research put into it . A superb model that has followed all previous models in quality. Too many manufacturers have gotten it wrong from the design and development stage leading to models that promised so much but didn't deliver. Rich,
  10. Agree, I have a penchant for everything being as right as it can be but these aren't even production samples. Rich,
  11. Looking for the dimensions width etc of the GM 201 air res tanks on the underframe. TIA Rich,
  12. Brilliant news men. It's nice to see this between IRM and PM we are a small number in the big scheme but there is a closeness and a camaraderie amongst us. Rich
  13. Top work Jason that has definetly taken it to a different level. Weathering looks just right and not overcooked. Rich,
  14. Smashing the nameplates are really impressive Rich,
  15. Excellent a bit of Taste also. Blister on the moon. Rich,
  16. Was listening to Rory Gallagher earlier. Stage Struck. Possibly the best in your face opening to a live album. Shin Kicker, Wayward Child, Bought and sold Rich,
  17. Watched an interview with Martin L Gore a few years ago and he said he couldn't state how much Kraftwerk influenced him. Andy McCluskey the same. Joy Division were also hugely influenced by them. Rich,
  18. Great band, no more heroes anymore. Rich, Florian Schneider today. How many bands and artists did Kraftwerk inspire. Rich,
  19. They look great men. Always enjoyed seeing them on the rails. Rich,
  20. Lovely work Jason and proof that the cottage industry is so important to the hobby unlike some crass comments that have been made recently. SSM Des really produce amazing kits. Rich,
  21. Smashing work Jason good to see the workbench back in business. Rich,
  22. Very good article Fran thanks for sharing. The article on the Accurascale HUO was very good also and a great idea keep em coming. Rich,
  23. I believe that was ourselves Eamonn. It is inches. It stands out when you see them side by side when looking at where the red is painted around the buffers on both classes. Rich,
  24. Yes a few doors down from Philly Grimes pub. George moved to the Quay down by the Munster Express office. It closed as has been said some years ago. I have to say George and Helen are lovely people and are missed I didn't care if a model was cheaper on the net I always bought my models there it feels more personal walking into the shop examining the model and walking out a happy customer I use Mark's now and make the trip to Dublin more often then buying online. If I can't make it to Dublin then I buy online. I have also bought at exhibitions. If we don't support the shops then they close and the majority of us don't want that. Rich,
