  1. Now, that several of you have built the 800, may I ask if any of you have run it successfully on DCC and what problems were encountered if any?
  2. So the Gennys can be resprayed from Brake 1st coaches NIR second corridors from BR Mk2 1st Corridors keeping the same interior if I'm modeling before the all open conversions in 1988. I presume the single 902 first is from a BR Mk2 1st whose body would be externally identical to the converted NIR 2nd corridors with 7 windows. There were also other NIR second opens that would have been derived from BR 2nd opens, I presume, which would have 8 windows per side. Was the griddle car derived from BR buffet car?
  3. I can't see any footage of trains:trains:, just sound, and the NIR logo wandering around like a giant swastika:mad:
  4. Did these ever materialize? Not on Marks Models website as far as I can see......
  5. No bargains in 7 months? The retailers have succumbed to the recession.... Or retired on the proceeds from our purchases:facepalm:
  6. This sold pretty cheaply for a 111. Hope one of you got a deal!
  7. Very interesting minister. I posted this in case it was of interest to any of the collectors on the site. I do not have any proficiency in determining whether this is genuine. I will leave that to you guys:D
  8. So you want to reproduce 111 but in the more modern livery, correct? You're also going to need a new nameplate for her
  9. Thanks, but all sold out on engine shed, station and signal box:(
  10. Richie, Sorry, Just saw this thread. Just starting to work my round the rest of the site What era does the model cover? I might be interested in an RTR Kevin
  11. For your next 1:1 scale locomotives…. http://www.ebay.ie/itm/151406732085?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
  12. http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/3480-Murphy-models-NIR-111-112-8113?highlight=8113+nir
  13. Is there a reason you don't just buy 112? I think there may be one or two about, although hard to get, and 8113 is still sought after … recent thread about obtaining these for an other on the forum
  14. Are these different from the green coaches that come in the Bachmann set with the green Woolwich or in the train pack? Which if either of these is a more accurate representation of .... what is this supposed to be? Laminate stock. I thought that the Bachmann set and pack came with a brake and there are a few singles at least in the US market? (old thread seemed to have modelers looking for a brake)
  15. FROM their website for the previous sold out version Green DAPOL CIE 1950's COACH PRISTINE THIS MODEL IS NOT AN ACCURATE REPRODUCTION, BUT IS SIMILAR TO COACHES OF THIS PERIOD PRODUCED EXCLUSIVLY FOR MARKS MODELS ONLY 200 PIECES OF THIS MODEL HAVE BEEN PRODUCED (176 PRISTINE )(24 WEATHERED)
  16. Wht was the 201 fiasco? ... getting slightly off thread (but you brought it up)
  17. Anyone know where I can find 44-250, 44-251 and 44-252 Irish outline engine shed, station, and signal Cabin please? Thank you
  18. I don't know... I think we forget that IE has failed to keep the locos looking well over the years. We feel like they should not look like this. I mean, the vast majority of us don't try to keep out vehicles in 'weathered' condition for too long at least!
  19. Great information! I picked up a couple of early NIR coaches with a few more on order just waiting to receive them once ready. Thanks for all your information on this it helps me to understand whether my respray's are truly accurate and helps expand my knowledge in this area thanks again Kevin
