  1. Mike, I am also interested in CBSCR. If you're in West Cork and snap any photos, upload them here or PM me for an email address if that is easier. If you're on the Cork-Bandon road and can shoot any photos of the stone bridges at Half Way, the river bridge crossing at Inishannon or the embankment with road tunnels before reaching Bandon that would be great. Thanks if you can. Kevin
  2. I disagree. We just need to interest the 1.3 billion Chinese with their new found wealth into modeling Irish outline models for nostalgic reasons, produce everything large scale and we can get the price down
  3. I have collected seventeen MM locomotives since I started back into (now) Irish outline very recently. Only three of these are presently available for purchase at RRP. Every other locomotive has been purchased used for at least the original price or substantially greater than that from a variety of sellers on this site, associated with this site,or on eBay. I have now supported Murphy Models, the priginal model shop/vendor, and the subsequent owner/seller. I expect all who are now flush with my hard earned cash, to support BK and purchase 201s so that I can finally buy a 121!
  4. Personally I do not like the 201s either. I am likely to buy one or two that have the appropriate river names for purely nostalgic reasons but when the 121s come out I am going to buy a stack of them!
  5. Saw them on the site earlier. Some of you will have seen them in the flesh at the show but there are none here, I can guarantee you, so looking forward to some nice quality pictures:tumbsup:
  6. Noel, I am not on DCC sound yet. Can you explain what the manual notching function is exactly? Sorry for my ignorance. Thanks
  7. Is the light in these coaches LEDs?
  8. Hi Noel I am aware there are proxy services but was a little unsure about downloading their programming onto my Mac. Do you have any experience of these that are adware/malware/virus free?
  9. From burnthebox http://www.ebay.ie/itm/331338645859?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648
  10. Well some poor souls are bidding on it...
  11. I wish the rtr models would do more old irish steam. There is plenty to choose from!
  12. The early livery has a more red-brown color while the later liveried interiors are blue.
  13. Great ! Good to know. Will bide my time:cheers:
  14. Some terrific bridges and tunnels on that line. Must go and look at them whenever I get back to the old country.
  15. 5229 is not fully sold out and us still available from vendors such as Hattons and maybe you side of the Irish Sea. 5236 seems to be hard to come by though. I wonder if there are more of these orange roofs to come since most of us would want to run a rake longer than two coaches and a GV
  16. Anybody know if there are any new irish buildings in the works, or maybe a new run of any of these (better again, I'm after several of them)?
  17. Nope, you can't see this even if you pay your BBC TV license and your IP address is outside the UK:((
  18. Big lenses are back in fashion:D
  19. Well, it's a hobby that you can make money from. I think I'll bid on it anyway (I always wanted to help finance someone's retirement, although I had rather hoped it would be mine)
  20. I was looking for someone to build a Southern 800 kit for me and it's not cheap and he's booked out. I'll do one eventually a long time from now (time is really my biggest issue). BK, what did one of these cost all in....ballpark, if that's not too impertinent (don't kill me if it's classified, you could PM if desired)?
  21. Agreed. Heirflick's photos are far better than on the website and that is what I based my order on. He should really get an advertising fee from Mark's!
  22. Beautiful Boss, do you know how much money you're about to cost everyone with that beauty? Poetry
