    Looks excellent so far David. I suppose I couldn't change your mind about using old loco frames for the turntable... Doesn't really matter though, considering how awesome the layout will be when finished.

    Finally, this morning, the Hood arrived after a LONG wait It was worth it though.. Multiple different sprues.. Firstly, she is BIG .I am building her in the waterline version, but here she is full hull, for comparison to Dreadnought..you get what I mean.. And then the building frenzy began..not a bad days work methinks Thanks for looking

    I don't Richie, unfortunately. Des might... Anyway, here's a close up of my 552s smokebox. I usually wouldn't get this close, but this is important... Meanwhile I'm buchering a GWR county class, to try and turn it into a beautiful swan of a 400... Right now it's a really ugly duckling....

    Give us a look, you might need a break from all the rivet counting....you start hallucinating after a while....

    CIE, certainly, but the GSR maybe not as much. However, it was the GNR that started the pop head rivets on their locos, for the sole reason the were a hell of a lot simpler to take out than the countersunk rivets. Even the 800s originally had countersunk rivets. In my opinion, despite being a pain in the a^$<'*#$ to model, The (three thousand:p) rivets are a major charictestic feature of Irish locos in the CIE period
