  3. That is the reason one anyway why the UTA bought 3 SClass from CIE in 1963.
  4. There was also a turntable at Central Serbice Depot in Belfast.
  5. Could be a Strabane local. All stations on the Derry Road were repainted about 1963 to increase the losses quoted by the UTA@

  14. 63 to 65 had standard MPD cab ends as above. NIR planned to retain them and 63 and 63 got the Blue and Red livery. 64 was always in Maroon and White in NIR days

  16. Yes it was used for the Swilly shipping services. There are also detailed plans now in the Tower Museum Derry for a projected line from Derry to Moville.

  19. The UTA were also pioneers in Railcar development. The MEDs were full of innovations in many areas.
