Heard that a 2800 set was due to haul the hybrid from Limerick to Cork today... probably the last time a 2700 will appear on the mainline in any guise. Did anyone down south manage to get any photos?

I think an exhibition of our own is wishful thinking! Lots of organisation involved, and the existing clubs do a good job as it is. There's no news of exhibitions yet as it's still a bit early in the year for them. Should be some notifications soon enough, though.

Fran, Ian Rice's book is the business... very descriptive explanations while still easy to read. Lots of illustrations, too.

Love the footage of the C&L. There's a small research error in it, though... the line closed in 1959, not 1960. -
