I understand that renowned railway and wildlife artist David Shepherd has died. His legacy involves some real locos that were saved through his efforts, not just the marvellous paintings.

The footbridge has roller-shutter doors now. The water tower still survives. A newish van was in evidence.

The branch siding has been fenced off properly. Some interesting trolleys for those keen on the yellow stuff. And a selection of machinery.

Some of us have to wait until the end of the month... Although, I have my own National Holidays.

I didn't buy it there, but the best camera that I've ever had was my old Soviet Fed 4 - it just made you take better shots, somehow. I would love it if somebody made digital inserts for old 35mm film cameras.
