  4. Not sure if its been mentioned here before but if you like early CIE diesels, this is the video for you! First 10 mins shows how the IRRS digitized, edited and processed old film and is presented by Ciarán Cooney The action starts around 12 mins in and shows a down Cork Sulzer 113 ( never see a video of of those before), double A classes, Sulzer's, E class, all the small GMs and amazing rolling stock etc. Thank you to Tom Dowling, Ciarán Cooney and the IRRS for putting it together and hopefully they will process more for viewing

    TRAMS

I'm not sure how all these trams ended up in Maine, but next visit I'll see if there's anything from Ireland hidden in the acres of trams out back!
  9. Good point, Sixteen English Electric 0-6-0DE 350 hp locomotives, based on the Class 08 design but modified for 1,600 mm (5 ft 3 in) gauge, were built new and exported 1951–53 to Australia, entering service on the Victorian Railways as the F class ( The CIE 401 were built in 57/58) So, if anybody has a repainted Hornby/Lima/Bachmass BR 08 on an Irish layout, you can say it was imported from down under!
