Nice models and I can't wait to see the paintwork. Did these coaches not have side steps?

Yes, sorry, I have 1 or 2, must be thinking of something else. I have so many I forget what I have.

It would be nice to get some 40ft MSC in the cream colour and 40ft CMA CGM. Please, Arran.

Lovely scenes there Great fight scene, that's a rough pub. I have been looking around for some Police figures, can I ask where you got yours please?
-
Very good, your very up to date. Where did you get the crane? And does the jib go up and extend?

I do it like that all the time, it's great for tidying edges and mistakes.

Sometimes a little bit of thinners on a brush will wipe them off, just keep away from the rivets. Loco looks great, good job.

Lots of Provincial wagons on eBay but not cheap

Looking great. I think the ID back scene would look better as they are photo's of real places and above the bridge might be ok with just a light blue sky. Your the boss, enjoy.

Just found this one on Geograph by Albert Bridge. I think if you spray a lot of grey paint over them you will be close enough.

It's only in Raheny every other year. North Dublin one year and south Dublin the next year.

Did it fall from a plane? You might be able to get some new parts from IRM. And lots of weathering could hide any bad damage. good luck.

Depot #8 by Riverbank Railways (fictional 1980s / early 1990s depot)
popeye replied to Adrian's topic in Irish Model Layouts
Unbelievable and stunning. Weathering is something you get better at the more you do and learn to observe what the colours really are on the real thing and never over do it. I would use 6 or 7 different colours which helps to create the right overall look.- 80 replies

I have found acrylic on enamel to work ok, as long as it's not to heavy and wet. I have had a lot more trouble with acrylic varnish spray cans, it needs to be well shaken not stirred.

I see from the instructions that the Halfords primer is acrylic, I never knew that. But it seems to work ok with enamel paints.
