156 arrives into the yard marking the first run under the bridge. The addition of the staging area now allows all lines now to be reached. Plenty of shunting action to come.

Layout update. 

For the first time in a long time I got the chance to work on the layout. Spent the day working on the "concrete" around the large shed and putting down the first layers of paint. Great to be working on it again. Excuse the bad lighting.

In the early morning light three LB flats are left to rot on a section of disused track near the yard entrance.

The static grass looks excellent, identical to how the abandon sidings of the yard used to look great stuff.

I believe that’s barrack street yard at forty seconds with a IR super train livery 141 with some 42 flats ? Hope this helps with the layout

Fictional Friday:

With the yard officially closed to container traffic, in the interim Irish Rail make use of the area for storage of out of use rolling stock. Here six corrugated wagons sit awaiting their final faith.

With all the ground work in the yard complete and first stages of painting done the scene is really starting to come together nicely.
