IrishTrainScenes Posted yesterday at 12:11 Posted yesterday at 12:11 Hello all, I was browsing through geograph.ie the other night and discovered these old photos of 2600 Class DMUs at Lisburn back in 1995! DISCLAIMER: These are not my photos. Credit to the original photographer I just saw them and thought it was interesting. Would anyone happen to know the reason why or how often this happened with a 2600 in NI? I gather it happened atleast 3 times in 1994/95. 2
jhb171achill Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Now THATS a rare one! I had no idea they’d ever been north of Drogheda! 1
Haulier Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Did a Dundalk 2600 set not work a Sunday relief PORTADOWN - CONNOLLY [ about 1800 ] for a while ? I can't put a date on it - maybe in late 1990's. 1 2
Colin_McLeod Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Two IR trains in Lisburn and a loco on its own, probably running round its train suggests the line was blocked between Lisburn and Belfast by a bomb scare or similar. 2 2

Mol_PMB Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Presumably this was before rolling stock needed different signalling/comms equipment to travel cross-border?
