Ironroad Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 I'm resurrecting this thread because there's a question here that I don't think was answered. Does anyone know if there Is there any difference between the Bachmann Scenecraft models 44-063 and 44-252. The latter 44-252 was marketed as an Irish stone station building and was based on the old booking hall in Clonmel. This model is almost impossible to find, and any that turn up are very overpriced.. 44-063 was marketed simply as a stone station building and appears to be identical to 44-252, or is it?, for example is the stone colour the same? l think this model is still available from at least one retailer at an acceptable price but I'd like to be sure. Thank You Quote
Georgeconna Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 IR, 44-063 was marketed simply as a stone station building and appears to be identical to 44-252, or is it? : it is the Same Building - Maybe Different colour doors but sure thats easily changed with a pot of Humbrol. 1 Quote

Colour of the doors certainly isn't an issue but the colour of the stone is another matter and inclines me to continue the search. again thanks Quote
DiveController Posted March 6, 2020 Author Posted March 6, 2020 Its a long time since I looked at these but one of the others has a more sandy/beige/yellow stone but I don't recall exactly Quote

I was at the show today and I picked up a Dawson Hall laser cut card kit of Dundalk Signal Cabin. I have not built it yet, but they had a model on display and it looked well. They also had a few other Irish style or actual Irish model building kits. I cant find their website right now but the email is on the kit: dawsonhallsales@jecdesign.com I will be building the kit over the next day or two, will post a pic for you to see. It might be of help - plus the fact that they are card kits/flat packed would keep the postage a bit lower for you. All the best. did you ever build it and did they do anything else Quote
richrua Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 I did indeed. Made a very nice model, I'll take a pic tomorrow. I know they used to do s good few kits . I haven't been on the pulse of the scene for a year, so I dont know if they are still active 1 Quote
