Love pic 40 of 22010 22011 in Waterford Wanderer. Nice to see that the Depot man's storage sheds are still there. Have a very happy and peaceful Christmas yourself.

you dont waste time do you? great pics as usual. out of interest, where and when was the 'daffy in the snow' pic taken?

Day off work, wasn't out over the Christmas Period so I thought why not!

Original picture of the Daffy should answer all your questions. All I say is after that day I was cold and wet.

The 1130 Cork - Heuston passes through the Curragh with MKIV DVT 4002 leading. Sat 04.12.10

So much for their PR image you think they would have washed the loco before taking the picture. Wait till Stobart arrives to give IE a lesson in PR :P

It wasn't a official shoot. Right time right place photo, which looks good in a industrial landscape. IE asked me could they acquire the use of the photo. I didn't know it was going to appear on billboards around the country! I nearly crashed the car driving into the shopping centre in Portlaosie when I saw it out of the corner of my eye.

Thanks for that Wanderer that would explain the dirt of the loco as it wasn't a staged shoot. I hope you were handsomely paid for your photo by IE. Keep them coming.

Monday morning and another trip to Dublin with photos from Connolly and Heuston plus LUAS trams in the Busaras and Connolly area.

A nice tip off to receive was that 4017 was at Heuston for a photoshoot featuring its new AOA for e mobile. Once complete the tram operated empty Heuston - Connolly - Red Cow and I photographed it at Connolly. http://smu.gs/W56mKv

Enjoy!

Afternoon guys,

The latest photos from this week:

- Monday 21st January 2013:

First weekday of the new timetable and I pop down to Portarlington to view two of the new Portlaoise - Heuston hourly commuter service.

- Wednesday 23rd January 2013:

Portlaoise and Heuston.

- Saturday 26th January 2013:

A visit to Monastervin to photograph the hourly Heuston - Portlaoise Commuter service. This station, which reopened in 2000 has really only had a peak hour only service until now. With the Kildare Commuter extened to Portlaoise the station now has hourly trains all day Monday - Saturday to Portlaoise, Portarlington, Kildare, Newbridge, Sallins and all stations to Dublin Heuston. Sadly IE have yet to promote the service in the local media or locally around the town.

All photos now online at http://smu.gs/X088gr
