BosKonay Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Spotted a bargain online for an Irish railway item? Post it here! Quote
Kirley Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I have mixed view on this new thread. While it’s nice to be informed of an item you may have missed, if you are actually bidding on it the last thing you want is more potential bidders . 1 Quote
Warbonnet Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Kirley, I think the intention of this thread is to post up bargains from retailers rather than items on auction sites. Quote
WRENNEIRE Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Kind of agree with you there Kirley, I was watching some coaches in the States and next thing I see a link to them on here, 2 bids were placed within an hour of the post, dont know if they were related but it got my goat up a tad! Because our members and guests are PC literate I would presume they are capable of finding their own bargains Nothing like a good trawl through the murky regions of eBay on a wet afternoon? Quote

Dave, isn't that what the Ebay Watch thread has been all about for years? I believe the point of this thread is for retail bargains. Quote
BosKonay Posted July 11, 2012 Author Posted July 11, 2012 Yes. This thread is for bargains and specials of an Irish flavor from retailers. There is already an eBay madness thread Quote
Flying Scotsman 4472 Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 it got my goat up a tad! There is nothing worse when your goat goes up a tad. How did you get him down again Quote

Now that the situation is clarified I wholly support your premise and I know there are many eagle eyed trawlers of the net on this site –Good hunting. Quote

Warbonnet Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 It was like a cattle-mart over there with people trying to get stuff! I was over there just after 9 this morning and there was no sign so they must have been snapped up:( Madness, at least it shows that the hobby is alive and well! Probably best I didn't get one as I have enough interests as it is, but I like the look of the Marklin 3 rail stuff and thought this would be a great place to start, picking up a piece here and there over the years. I blame Steventrain and the pics he's putting up! Quote
steventrain Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Is the catalogue number 29522? The transformer controller was analog and the loco have decoder in it. The loco can use with white controller. Came with three wagons and oval of track with passing loop. I never have any one. Quote
