201bhoy Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Slightly off topic... I'm planning to repaint a rake of Hornby MK3s to go with the 071, I assume the Supertrain livery is the most appropriate? Well if you're planning to buy the 071 in Supertrain livery then yes but you could also repaint them into the modern livery and get the ie livery 071.
201bhoy Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Available soon!!! http://www.themodelshop.ie Really?! Will you also be doing them in the modern ie livery?
RedRich Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Available soon!!! http://www.themodelshop.ie That's a great service that you give Seamus. I've seen lot's of the repaints your shop provides and they are amazing. It's nice to have an outlet for people that don't have the equipment or time to do their own work. Did you have a nice break while you were away. Rich,

RedRich Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 They're lovely Dave, just how I remember them. There's a shot of a rake of them in Waterford in one of the Markle videos dealing with Dublin and the South East. Rich,

Behind 192. Thanks Seamus.

Weshty Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Lol that second last picture looks like a poster promoting Iarnrod Eireann! Yup, that photo is pure class!
Flying Scotsman 4472 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Any of you guys good with Photoshop could do a billboard surrounding around the picture. If Noel doesn't mind
201bhoy Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Sorry it's pretty awful but here's my attempt at doing a poster!
ttc0169 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Any of you guys good with Photoshop could do a billboard surrounding around the picture. If Noel doesn't mind <img src="http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1924"/> A great idea Anthony-I'd like to see someone having a go at that Not a bad attempt Vincent, If the old type CIE Go mainline rail or take the train in black or white lettering was along the bottom-then it would look great-nice one. It would look well on any layout.
Flying Scotsman 4472 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Maybe some of the guys could scale it down to oo and we could all print it off and put on our layouts. Any volunteers from those who can photo shop
Dave Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 That looks great, something very retro about it:tumbsup:
