Well spotted.  I remember a few shamrock 747 skippers had number plates with 747 on them back in the old days pre year plates (e.g. wicklow had NI plates, etc)

Not anymore, GM sold their European Division to PSA who comprise of Citroen and Peugeot. Also GM Electro-Motive Division is now owned by Progress Rail, whose parent company is Caterpillar

This time last year I was actually planning to get a 171 D 800 but it's €1000 to book a special new number......

...so a 151D had to do..... cheaper anyway!

...mine turned out to be 172 LS SUCK!....wanted 121 but not for the extra dosh.
