BosKonay Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 The web server is moving to a new cloud platform, which will take place at Saturday 24th - 6 PM (GMT+1) and be expected to cause at least 6 hours downtime. (Possibly longer as DNS updates occur) Quote

mmie353 Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 With the move to the cloud, will there be any changes to the website after the migration? Curious to know if there was going to be changes or if it is a case of move, update the DNS record and make sure it is working again Quote

(More a tech refresh for the cloud provider than anything else) All going to plan, nothing will change Quote

DJ Dangerous Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 I just noticed today that one or two posts have disappeared, along with one or two PM's that I sent, and my reactions to a few posts have also disappeared. I thought that it may have been my mobile, but a re-start hasn't changed anything. Is the forum having an off-day? Quote
BosKonay Posted May 10, 2021 Author Posted May 10, 2021 I had to flip the server to another set of virtual machines, tho the 'gap' where DNS was updating would have been of the order of between 2 and 30 minutes... Quote
DJ Dangerous Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 I use a BlackBerry. Thought that might have been the problem. 1 Quote
