Do not agree with you guys, I think she looks fantastic.

Too modern for a fussy oul fossil like me, Bandon Tank!

(But, now, if it WAS an actual Bandon tank, now that would be a different kettle o'fish!)

A tin canister wagon of some sort, on wheels, at Amiens St Station…..

Today

It's often parked up there on it's own allright.    Don't like the livery but like the loco though!

Great pic 👍

The blue one, 216, was in Belfast both this morning and this evening….

Sad to see weeds growing out of the roof of that iconic building. Maintenance?

Have you seen the graffiti?  That building is in an awful condition

Are the 29's running in two different liveries concurrently?

Yes, and have been since Methusalah was learning her spellings….!

Roughly half of the fleet remain in the old livery.

Quite a few still have the old “three pin plug” logo, as well as the new “origami” one.

That's awesome!

So apart from being stunning looking no matter what, they wear two shades of beauty!

Can't wait for a model of them.

At the risk of straying into religion, Methuselah was not a 'her'.

Say ten Hail Mary's and you stand a chance of slightly less time in Purgatory.

Ah, but he might have been a pronoun……

Isn’t this what proper Dublin suburban looks like? And closer to Methuselah’s time, too….in all seriousness, I’d love to see a retro livery on these things. As a kid, the old CIE livery had a pleasing resemblance to a liquorice allsort….would love to see it again.

BRAY MOTIVE POWER DEPOT - Bray was at the outer limit of Dublin suburban services and the depot there has quite a roster of small tank engines - an ex DSER Class 258 2-4-2T stands in front of a very old 4-4-0, while a 4-4-2T is seen on the right, 09/49 - note odd signal.
