Suggestions for Irish Railway Models website
DJ Dangerous replied to DJ Dangerous's topic in Site News & Help
Only for one of my orders, from December, and delivered to an Irish address because of the paperwork problems caused by An Post. All of the others say "Order Ready" even though they've already shipped, and in some cases already been returned due to missing customs declarations. Obviously I can dig through my emails and look for the tracking numbers that way, but it would be handy to have them associated with my orders on thw website, too. -
Half of that train could be Canary-bound!

Is there any chance of displaying the tracking number when tracking orders on the website? I know that there's a link, but it would be handy to be able to copy and paste the tracking number for tracking locally. -
Just curious, how long did each livery last? Did RV330 get repainted to match RV496, or did they retain their subtle differences until losing their Coastal Tours liveries altogether? Were they repainted blue and cream afterwards or retired still in the CT livery? Were there many other buses in the Coastal Tours livery? If so, which ones, from when until when?

Same, mine will happily haul some Mk5's one day, I'm just curious as to the accuracy of that comment. -

Was that the post by 97406 about filing the vee down? Also, I see somebody on RMWeb saying that 92038 shouldn't haul the Mk5's, to be prototypically correct? Is that true or bull? No mention of anything like that on the Accurascale site. -
	24th / 25th / 26th are yet to come...

Remaining Class 92 and Mark 5 Delivery Update

Happy camper to receive this parcel in the post today. Wow. Something else. The A's were special, but the definition and detail on this seems to go up a notch. And it's whisper quiet. Thing could murder you in your sleep. -
I received an email from Rails of Sheffield saying that Cavalex are releasing a Class 60, currently at tooling stage. Wonder if anybody else will beat them to the punch.

Sounds like two more, on top of the first two... As @Maynersays, it's the political fallout, the trains being delivered two years behind schedule, plus the indirect costs. Much as they claim no financial loss, that's extremely unlikely. On top of that, there's a loss of confidence in those responsible. If they get this wrong, what else can they be trusted with? So out with the guillotine!

Rails of Sheffield have very frequent sales so if not snapped up by somebody, it might go on sale.

There are a lot less retail options than there were ten or eleven years ago, plus, I'm not so sure that Adverts.ie is an auction site. I assume that post was to identify this thread as the non-eBay one, in which case, it's going pretty well! Rails ROG Class 47 20% off using code ROG20, only until Sunday 26th February: https://railsofsheffield.com/collections/class-47812-rail-operations-group Valid on all three variants; DC, DCC sound and custom weathered.

				Irish Transport Slideshow

Nice slideshow of Irish transport photos. Mainly buses and trams. Quite a few Leyland LD looking vans. Nobody seems to do them in 1:76, only 1:43. Curious about the bus around 00:52. Looks like one of those EFE Leyland Atlanteans.

I'd like to see some Darius compilations on YT. I could sit back and watch your clips for fifteen minutes and still be glued to the screen.

A few random boxes just before the turn-off for Ifonche, at the bottom of La Escalona just now. There are some sort of apparently abandoned construction projects on both sides of the road, so I'm assuming that these boxes have been bought / borrowed / rented / stolen for something to do with the projects. -

Probably defeats the purpose of the streamlining. Too many different VAT and customs regimes around the world. Easier to sell it as is and let the recipient pay tax on arrival. Plus, you have the incompetent boobs at An Post who are going to ignore the DDP paperwork as they frequently do, then Accurascale have to deal with even more work because of the subsequent claims.
