  1. Speno sounds like something you made up just to troll idiots like me who don't know any better.
  2. And an open door halfway along the body! That is an awesome photo!
  3. Don't worry, BTB, the post is a disaster everywhere at the moment! Postal services in most countries are working reduced hours with skeleton staff, so it's impossibe for them to deliver as they would have before. On top of that, there are less flights flying, so transport companies don't have as many options or slots as before. But if it's Ballast or Gypsum wagons that you're waiting on, they probably haven't been posted just yet!
  4. IR 121's hauling IR Ballast and gypsum trains before Christmas... Not sure if this is real or if I'm still dreaming.
  5. She'll look great weathered with 12 Spoil wagons behind her.
  6. I'd love to see a black 071 with orange trim... I like the silver and black, though. Not quite as nice as the grey, nor the IE orange, but still a nice livery.
  7. I coudn't afford nor justify any more than that, really. Only four of them actually ran on Irish railways in that condition, so it's not ike having five or six of them is prototypical.
  8. They were listed around €160 or so last week, down to €130 odd for this listing... I offered €40 each but my offer was politely declined.
  9. Show off those weathering skills and give it a heavy dose of rust, soot and grime!
  10. Says Trump!
  11. Trying to figure out how to click the "Like" button twice...
  12. Those three being for the sixteen (was it sixteen) Mk2's from Vic Berry?
  13. Unfortunately, my SF model has the dual white stripes but not the big shoulders. So it's kind of a Dutch mongrel. Was it three or four that were converted?
  14. Yeah, those "shoulders" really stand out! Was the GSV to EGV conversion the "rebuilding"?
  15. What differences are there between original and rebuilt Dutch Vans, both cosmetically and technically? I see above that three were converted from GSVs to EGVs! Are they the three which became known as the "Rebuilt" ones or were the rebuilds and the GSV / EGV conversions two completely different things? When were they converted?
  16. But their HO Gauge range would look so good in a display cabinet alongside their N Gauge, OO Gauge and O Gauge stock!
  17. I love the transitional livery! A few weeks back, I was almost thinking of buying a ST 121 to stick IR logos onto.
  18. Lovely photos, lovely layout, amazing hurricane-like progress this year, and that's a lovely vehicle selection!
  19. Fingers crossed that the stock lasts until the end of this month!
  20. Hi all. I'm looking for a Bachmann Class 166 centre car. It doesn't matter whether the motor runs or not, or if the paintwork is bad, once the body and glazing are not damaged, and the wheels run freely. It will be a donor for something else!
  21. What are pre-order availability levels like at the moment, in particular the IR Bundles?
  22. Is there actually only one Spoil bundle left in stock, or are there more?
  23. They'll look fabulous behind that grey 071!
  24. I think that more important than lubricating them would be videos of the unboxing and their virgin runs. I've bought several 141's and 181's this year, brand new in box, and have broken them in gently, slowly running them in, in both directions, unladen, with no problems. A tiny amount of oil appears to have seeped out of one or two while still in their boxes, but this has not affected their running. I've never in my life seen locos so smooth, silent or sensitive. Using DC, if the old Hornby controller isn't exactly at zero, the MM Babies will start crawling away while trying to rail them.
  25. That one has the more typical chunky resin look to it, but the door hinges and handles are a nice touch!
