  1. Noel did a great job with that one, but it still ended up looking like corrugated cardboard, despite his Trojan work.
  2. I'm happy to buy any unwanted Cravens very inexpensively.
  3. Ah, I'm sure people would have no problem paying €1900 per A Class instead of €190 if they were made in Ireland. Let's make Ireland great again and bring manufacturing home!
  4. Labour costs have to be the main reason. More then ten times cheaper in China than the US, according to this piece. Imagine how much each model would cost the consumer if the labour costs in producing it were ten times higher, or more...
  5. 2024? 2024?
  6. I had the same question in my mind. Why sometimes one tanktainer per flat, sometimes two per flat, sometimes on 42' flats, sometimes on 47' flats, and why sometimes there are only GCA's or only Bruhn's, and sometimes both... Suspect that the single vs. double practice is loaded vs. unloaded... Common sense pointed out by Mr. @murphaph
  7. So, we have the 30' Bell Bulks and mmmmmaaaaayyyyyyybeeeeee some 45' boxes on the way from Arran... We have the 2021 livery 201's on the way from Paddy Murphy... And the 47' Flats are the missing piece of the puzzle!
  8. So awesome! The 121 driver got a bit angry with you towards the end.
  9. Is that a 47' that it's sitting on?
  10. I thought that 201 - 205 and 210 - 214 were not push-pull capable, so were abandoned and left to rot outside Inchicore?
  11. That'd be awesome, specially when (not if...) IRM launch P47! 45' boxes seem to dominate the rails in Ireland at the moment, and with current-livery 201's on the way from Murphy Models, it would be great to have some 45' boxes to haul around on 47' wagons behind them.
  12. Is the line likely to be ripped up and turned into a cycleway, or pushed back into service? https://m.independent.ie/regionals/wexfordpeople/news/its-now-or-never-for-wexford-to-waterford-rail-line-40120791.html According to this video, IE had been down-grading the line in anticipation of the protection order expiring:
  13. You'll probably need the baby powder in the morning after all that chilli.
  14. Those Galways are gorgeous! I can't wait to pick up some of them to replace my Lima Galway's.
  15. Any plans for 45' containers at some stage, @Arran
  16. With a very thick rubber glove.
  17. I think that the push-pull sets were usually five coaches and a DVT. Agreed on 303 and 304!!!
  18. Hornby 201's on the way? Whatever PM does, he will have a huge amount of support, as will IRM. The debt of gratitude that we all owe to both for bringing us to where we are today is huge. Hopefully, we will see more 141's / 181's some day in the not too distant future.
  19. So if we see a 141 / 181 release, it'll be a solo Bachmann project?
  20. Very special package arrived today! Thanks to @murphaph for giving me the heads-up. These things are like gold dust.
  21. I'd say they mean that sounds disgraceful.
  22. Fingers crossed that the releases are phased to allow us time to harvest organs etc. IR Mk2D's first, please!
  23. That sounds like a threat!
  24. Wujhrdlk jvebbk ewbngj, frothing at the mouth, can't speak, drooling on keyboard, can't type, hgesdjhchfdkjh.....
  25. Would ye all stop??? The most important model to date, in my opinion, is IRM's P42 chassis. Many of the models have been game-changers or catalysts, but because of P42, modellers everywhere lost their shit and bought up every single 071 that had been gathering dust on retailers shelves. 121's were lashed out of it because modellers were starved of locos to haul their P42 rakes. Hopefully, there will be about three times as many A Class locos on offer as there were 121's, and that will bridge the gap to the next rolling stock.
