  1. @TheSeanRailWay and @37058 are both looking for one of these! Cracking little sets, definitely worth looking at.
  2. Don't mind the moaning and negativity, @TheSeanRailWay and @37058. While not prototypical, these are gorgeous little sets, great runners, and represent Ireland's rail network taking a step in the right direction. And, through sheer great luck, Mr. @MOGUL has one for sale HERE!
  3. Rest in Peace, @Junctionmad Dave. Thanks for the lovely tribute and photos, @Noel, very heartwarming.
  4. IRM were pretty on the ball with the pre-ordering campaign, too. Lots of fanfare on the forum, plenty of mail-outs etc. Mark's were quiet as a mouse, as if the launch was a secret. Free post? Free post??? I hear it's raining a lot lately. Good enough for you, you and your free post! You want a TT Class 50 to go with that?
  5. What's short, long-haired and lives under a bridge?
  6. I see that the new 141's / 181's have almost sold out at IRM, but Mark's Models still have the full range in stock. Why the discrepancy in the rate of sales, I wonder?
  7. YES!!!!! So... Will the 47' LX Flats be shipping with them?
  8. Just received a payment request for my Mk2B/C packs... Are these about to ship to customers???
  9. Wonderful to see such a positive response from people on the Bo'ness fire disaster! There's a lot of good out there in people.
  10. Those Dickie Tara's were absolutely incredible value when you think about it. Fair play to IRM for letting them go the way they did.
  11. I have an even better one ready but need to re-size and polish it up a bit, first, forum is missing automatic re-sizing.
  12. Feck yer horse, I've a Honda Civic outside.
  13. Gerry's stuff quite often features in the Bargain Watch thread.
  14. What on earth are all the crazy ramblings in this thread about? Nobody is calling for the death penalty, literally, it's figurative. Punishment should fit the crime, and should be of some benefit to society. The perpetrators need some sort of developmental training - as is also the case with most bullies, they themselves likely either are or have been victims, too. Climb down off the high horses, folks, and take a joke for what it is.
  15. NIR C Class for €100 from Gerry / Millipede: https://touch.adverts.ie/models/model-railway-nir-loco/33936441
  16. The Mrs. or the train?
  17. Rails had a fabulous sale a week or two back, again O Gauge, wagons going for peanuts, some great bargains, but I was too busy to post it on the forum at the time, and they sold out in a flash.
  18. I'm a little confused by this. Do you mean a new "Gone But Not Forgotten" section of the forum? If so, it would be a nice idea, but the mods struggle to deal with current forum maintenance as it is. The spamming, duplicate posts, bullying, fighting etc, plus basic maintenance, updates, bug fixes all drain their time. If somebody were to volunteer their own time to do the work, a la THIS post, then maybe it would be manageable for the mods to make the final changes. Also, taking @patrick's lovely layout into consideration, what happens when he starts posting again after the house move? Move his thread into the RIP section, then back to the layout section? Also also, the same rules will apply in the RIP section as the rest of the forum - the more stuff that goes in there, the more things will get buried. I feel that a simple solution would be for any member to bump the threads that they wish to keep fresh in other's minds with a post every six months or so. Something short and sweet like "Missing Ballyercall" and that brings it back to the top of the layout section.
  19. Rails have some outstanding O Gauge bargains. Aside from the aforementioned steam locos, they have Class 26, 52 and 58 ridiculously cheap: https://railsofsheffield.com/collections/o-gauge-bargains Don’t be a dummy and miss out!
  20. Your Petromotion jeans, your X-Works jeans and your silky tracksuit!
  21. I disagree. Only burned at the stake? They dismembered the layout prior to the arson, so an eye for an eye...
  22. So sorry to hear this. Never met Ken but admired his work here on the forum. May he rest in peace. Thank you for letting us all know.
  23. Lovely shots, @ttc0169! I missed the TJ posts at last week, delighted to catch up today.
  24. Lovely stuff, @Georgeconna. When do commercial operations recommence?
