    So this is the new IRM branding. I presume all the boxes will be in this new Slate Grey / Bright green combination Simular to the Accurascale boxes ps-wouldn’t mind if this forum had a “dark mode” setting

    That green paint was humbrol 14ml enamel emerald green Marks used to have it however it’s no longer stocked due to the fact it has a fractional trace of a cancer causing agent (or something like that) so the EU deemed it illegal. I’ll have to find a substitute…

    It’s a £15 dapol LMS stanier coach under the green paint and Railtec transfers I still haven’t gotten around to painting the roof

    Genuinely, wouldn’t it be handy if one of the lads was a carpenter, metalworker or even a railway worker before they had to come here…..and was willing to volunteer too

    My best speculation is that maam cross might be a good home to a certain ITG locomotive that is looking for a home

    Garrison model show 2022. Saturday 28th of august from 12pm-4.30pm. probably worth a visit if you live down south. I reckon it will be busy this year as it’s also the first time the fort has re opened since covid hit (rather harsh clash of dates)

    Ahhhhh so that’s where the blue thunder tour ended up…. I’m in the same boat as DJ…seriously? I know NIR have basically no use for em but a 111 would be the first of its kind to be preserved…and a big undertaking in itself Or is 112 the number ye guys will have to dial when photographers from all over Ireland descend on maam cross on opening day

    There mustn’t be very much stuff left that is “GSR livery appropriate” perhaps we can import some Pullman’s and put some 5,3 bogeys under them…

    813 looks great in that livery, however if it’s going to maam cross I imaging a coat of GSR livery will be applied once the apropriate TLC has been applied

    If I went up to IE and offered them that for the real 230 in its current state….they’d throw in a mark 3 to sweeten the deal!

    While the handrail adds to the authenticity…perhaps fixing it would be worth it. Mine had similar issues but it went back in with little to any fuss and has been perfectly level and sturdy ever since
