Excellent progress there Barl and nice to see an update of your scenic layout....
-
As usual Kieran top class work, love your depot and the hard standing area looks great.
-
Progressing well Vincent-look forward to more updates.
-
Nice work Sean, those bogie wagons will look great as the timber train wagons.

Remember lads there are two sides to every story-and what you see is not nice, but speaking from experience when people are vulnerable they are an easy target for scumbags who take great satisfaction in provoking people-and this is what happened here......that's all I'll say on the matter.

Simply superb work Richie-one of the best scratch built models I've ever seen-it certainly captures the weathered look of the Donelli gantries to perfection.

That's Eamonns department Stephen.....and will be shown over the next few days....we are going for a few pints of the black stuff now....

I had a visitor from the sunny southeast this afternoon when enniscorthyman brought his two axle ballast train with sound fitted loco 190 along to assist with some Perway duties alongside my current HOBS train with sound fitted 011077, An excellent and enjoyable eveing was had operating the various trains, Eamonns sound fitted A39 also made an appearance hauling an ITG Cravens special-both locos sounding and looking great.... Both ballast trains are side by side awaiting clearance into the Perway possessions. A busy scene on Tara junction-190 awaits clearance to discharge ballast while 077 has discharged some of its ballast and is propelling back to load again. A39 works over the up line as maintenece work is taking place on the down line A39 operates through Tara junction station at a reduced speed of 25mph.

Waterford to North Wall Sperry Train at Kilkenny

Ritchie-your a mind reader, there was a fair bit of shunting to do to get the whole formation together....but it was fun all the same I'd say the reason the weed spray coach 3187 has been added is that from what I could tell from Sean's video, the lads that are monitoring the Sperry wagon via laptops have now been moved to the weed spray coach instead of the rear cab of the loco as has been the case since the Sperry wagon has been introduced-they can now monitor the wagon in comfort without the need to have to move their equipment every time the loco is detached, plus they now have a mess room area and more space in 3187 to move around. -
With thanks to Sean (gm171kk) for insperation...the 2013 Sperry train made a late night appearance on Tara junction.... The only change is I have 011077 hauling it... Weedspray coach 3187 is seen at the rear of the Sperry train. The Sperry wagon and 3187. 011077 hauls the Sperry train past 086SA which is slowly hauling a fertiliser train out of the freight yard. 011077 passes through Central station on the down fast line passing the DMU depot with an ICR being washed and serviced and a 2600 in original Arrow livery awaiting it's next turn of duty.

Thanks lads for your replies-a quick update from operations earlier 30 years seperate the two liveries on these 071s CIE 1980s liveried 086 is seen here awaiting the road out of the goods loop with a laden fertilizer special while out on the main line 2013 liveried IE loco 077 is seen at the head of the empty timber train, I can't recall if any of the CIE 071s worked any fertlizer trains-(but they do on Tara Jctn),maybe jhb or hgricer can shed some of their specialist knowledge on this..... 011077 and 086SA An overview of the MPD sees from the top 011077,086SA RPSI B141,146+184,082,083,112,8113,087,088 and 080,

I agree with Andy-the backscence blends in very well with the overall scene...well done Kieran.

Well done Andy-very atmospheric-the natural light really helps to set the scene.....

Morning lads, Two more of the M class type buses rolled off the production line over the last few days....this time as M75 in Bus Eireann red and white livery with a yellow stripe-one of the first liverys for Bus Eireann during 1987/1988, The second is the unusual sight of an M class in the school bus livery of yellow and white, namely M25.... After giving years of service to CIE-a battle weary M25 needs some TLC and a wash....!!!

Thanks Paul and Stephen, 112 returned to traffic earlier thanks to the quick work of the fitters, Here it is outside on the storage roads in the company of 086 to it's left and 088 and 080 on the right....

Hi lads, A Saturday afternoon on Tara junction sees NIR loco 112 haul the laden bogie bulk cement train Shortly after the photo was taken 112 ground to a halt....after a few minutes it was clear he was going nowhere......assistance came from the south in the form of 8113 which was heading to the ballast loading point to pick up some HOBS wagons... What a catch I said-two NIR locos on the jumbos..!! It wasn't long before 8113 crossed over and coupled to the failed 112.... 8113 hauls 112 and the heavy train towards the MPD-where loco 203 is waiting to take over... 8113 propels 112 into the depot under the watchful eye of Stephen the depot foreman, In the foreground locos 086,088 and 077 are awaiting various mechanical and brake exams. 203 couples to the cement and worked it forward to its destination-45 minutes late..... While 112 is dumped alongside long term withdrawn 181 loco no'191, 112 has a blown turbo charger but should be back into traffic next week.......
