  1. Got back to running some trains after a long absence. Used an Irish Rail theme for the locos and stock and took a video of some of the action.
  2. Good job Richard, great to see it almost finished.

    Trainspotting BBC4

I watched last nights programme but did not like the format, everything seemed to be in 2 minute sections, maybe that's modern programme making.
  4. I thought 10 Commandments did them but no, the only thing I could find is an air compressor http://www.langleymodels.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_OO_Cranes__Heavy_plant___Road_Machinery___RW1_RW21_29.html Armstrong Whitworth Air Compressor (OO Scale 1/76th) Ref: RW10 Perhaps Mikes suggestion of Shapeways is the one to try.
  5. Thanks Dave for displaying these, you must be searching the basement of Bracken Towers to unearth them.
  6. That's a model from Clockwork Ideas in 00 scale, Glenderg built one from their kits a while back in IR livery.
  7. Desmond Coakham’s book on the BCDR states, “We may complain about the painting style (carried out at the York Road Works) of No.30 that now reposes in the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum. The green is wrong and the company initials were not carried after ‘Invisible Green’ was given up,” It seems the greens used on the BCDR were ‘Indivisible Green’ almost black in colour followed from 1937 by a dark Olive Green. In the pursuit of accurate railways colours who knows where the truth lies.
  8. Good to seeing you posting again Patrick.
  9. A busy morning at Clonmel Goods Shed.
  10. Just finished going your photos of Kits Dave, some there I never have heard of, I take it they are long out of production.
  11. John any chance of putting up more details of your next projects here or on your Facebook page?
  12. Continued to be amazed at what come out of those vaults of yours Dave.
  13. Looks the part Raymond, only another 15 to go.
  14. It's not my idea John, the innovator is Richard EH. Not sure what he used but I tried Revell Contacta Liquid Special, mainly as I had it on hand and it worked.
  15. GNR(I) JT Locomotive. In an earlier post I displayed some pictures of 4 Provincial Wagons I had just completed being pulled by this locomotive. No one commented on the locomotive which maybe indicates a limited interest on Steam locomotives on this site. Anyway here is a video of it action. You may notice in the earlier part of the video the locomotive was not running smoothly but after working at the CV's it improved.
  16. The 3D body is made by Richard EH of this Site and is sold through Shapeways site: https://www.shapeways.com/product/322AX6GR7/4mm-scale-gnri-jt-tank-body-shell-16-5mm-gauge?optionId=8347275 Richard has already displayed his own build of this model on this Site. Anyone who has visited the Transport Museum at Cultra will have seen this preserved locomotive and it is nice to reproduce it in model form. I made a short video of the model in action, see Layout Section -Kirley Junction.
  17. Scratch built wagons, yes please.
  18. Some brand new Container arrivals at the Freight Yard yesterday.
  19. Excellent innovative work Richard, I'm jealous of your ability to, "replaced that with a 3d printed roof I designed to fit".
