  1. Worsley Works do a AEC railcar kit in brass which could be used to to convert the class 105. 4mm Scale - Irish Railways - Standard Gauge - Great Northern Railway Ireland - GNRI - CIE Park Royal Coach - CIE Laminates - Coaches for Irish Model Railways
  2. According to the Appendix to the Working Timetable 1935 the turntable is 55' long.

  8. The Esso wagons were much bigger too 15'0" wheelbase and 25'2 1/2"length and 27'8 1/2" over buffers with a 6000 Gallon capacity .
  9. I think as the wagons aged they were downgraded from Class A petrol to finally home heating oil Kerosene.
  10. No they were CIE wagons used on those trains , the 971-1013 wagons we different and owned by ESSO Teo , but operated and maintained by CIE / Irish Rail .
  11. Another interesting thing about these wagons they were the first wagons to carry “beware over overhead lines “ as they had been running on BR and when they arrived in Ireland in 1971 we had no lines with overhead wires, which didn’t happen until the Dart in 1979 .
  12. Brilliant news lovely wagons I have some of the Heljan ones and they are super detail . One minor point I think they are A class wagons with the longer barrel the B class were the shorter barrel running numbers 995 , 996, 997, 998 & 999 ?? I know the classification refers to the type of product carried and latterly the were all B class
  13. They were also used on the Claremorris and Galway (oranmore) lines .

  21. And very nice bogies they are too with the added benefit of having metal spades for coach lighting.
  22. A version with a hand painted‘Connolly only ‘ on the side could be a future addition.
  23. It’s fantastic very Irish look to it .
