With a lick of oxide and some highlights on the stanchions I think they look well. You had to ignore the short length

You can buy chip harnesses very readily, and to my mind they are a great way to 'future-proof' your dcc upgrade. You will be able to replace the chips down the line as needed.

The layout threads and blogs are the place, but I know what you mean in terms of a browsable gallery type listing, where you can avoid the 400 pages of chit chat and just drool over the layouts
