  1. As do slaters, I'd love to try an MIR kit but wouldn't risk building one of these "collectors" items
  2. Riversuir226 is correct, the pics that I've posted are from Belfast, York road and the harbour lines
  3. Hello gentlemen, Some of you may already know what I'm on about but for those who don't, this is a great website that has lots of overhead images taken before and after the war of places all across Britain and some in Ireland, it is heaven if you find a track plan of a certain station you want to model, or what a certain goods yard looks like, all images are free to view, although if you make an account you can help others by identifying a certain picture and commenting on what it shows. These are just 3 out of thousands that I've used as an example. I've seen images of when the camera low down right beside a train, so there really is a huge range of images, something for everyone. Click this link to go to the "Britain From Above" website and get searching, http://www.britainfromabove.org.uk/ I hope this comes in handy for some people as I know it's helped me lots, Enjoy Nelson Bear in mind that its not only railway pictures so It can take some time to find something that is railway related, but using the search bar function is great and should speed the process up.
  4. Thank you gentlemen I appreciate your comments
  5. Hello everyone. Hello everyone. Well it's been weeks since I've done any modelling, Christmas came and went, new year came and went and now I'm back to school so yeah, oh and did I mention exams are coming up lol, so I've been revising and just overall very busy so literally no modelling has been done except this wee thing that took ages to do, but it's now done and I thought Id show you guys. I won't be doing anything until the exams are done and I have a few railway projects planned for then, so until then. Happy new year Nelson
  6. The pictures aren't showing up for me
  7. I use the exact same stuff as yourself (halfords grey plastic primer), and I spray it on in maybe 4 to 6 very light coats at a fair distance away, but not too far away, the first 2 coats will make the model look absolutely rubbish but don't worry let it to dry and add another light coat on top, and repeat. then when your happy with the colour/coverage, you can stop hope this helps, another tip is to build most of the model up and then spray the colour you want this gives you am even smooth coating all round without unsightly different coloured joins. Looking at your vans again they are very nicely done and I don't see a problem with them, you should be proud of your models there. Just another thing I forgot to mention is, when spraying make sure that your spraying directly onto the face/side of the model in smooth sweeping motion, this also ensures an even coverage and makes sure that the sides of the supports aren't missing any paint.

  18. Hello everyone, Quite amazed at how long I've been going for without modelling mainly because of school and exams but hey that's life this 1/72nd scale elefant tank is my first model I've done since the last update and I wanted to try out a couple of things on it, such as the winter camo, which was my first attempt at doing and I think it's turned out fairly well, what do you guys think? Now that this is done I have another U2 to do and more spoil wagons so that should keep me busy over Christmas. That's all for now folks, Thanks Nelson
